From bustling cities to remote border villages, the sky over Lam Dong on New Year's Eve 2026 (Year of the Horse) shared a vibrant rhythm. The fireworks not only illuminated the plateau but also ignited pride, unity, and hope for a prosperous and peaceful new year for all the people of this land.
For the first time, remote and rural areas will welcome fireworks right in their hometowns.

The Lunar New Year's Eve of the Year of the Horse 2026 became a special milestone for the people of Lam Dong province as, for the first time, a low-altitude fireworks display was held simultaneously at 17 locations throughout the province, extending to border communes and remote areas.

Not only dazzling and captivating in central cities, the fireworks display, heralding a spring season, also spreads to areas that previously never had fireworks to celebrate Tet, bringing joy and emotion to tens of thousands of people.
According to observations, in central areas such as Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat (2 fireworks display locations), Phan Thiet ward, Bac Gia Nghia ward, Mui Ne ward, Ward 1 Bao Loc..., the already vibrant atmosphere of welcoming the new year has become even more lively.

Thousands of locals and tourists gathered early, immersing themselves in the vibrant decorations of flags, flowers, and lights. From 9:30 PM until midnight, depending on the area, clusters of low-altitude fireworks simultaneously soared high, bursting into color against the plateau sky, creating a dazzling and emotional springtime spectacle.
Notably, this year many localities are holding fireworks displays for the first time right in their areas. These include communes such as Nâm Nung, Đức An, Đắk Mil, Quảng Trực, Quảng Hòa, Liên Hương, Đông Giang, Đồng Kho, Nam Thành…

In particular, in the border commune of Quang Truc, from 8 PM on the 29th day of the 12th lunar month, thousands of people gathered in the commune center, eagerly awaiting the moment when fireworks would light up the sky over the border region.
Joy erupted in the border region.
Some localities organized fireworks displays earlier than midnight to make it more convenient for people to participate. Bac Gia Nghia ward started at 11 PM on February 16th at the floating island in the central lake. Nam Nung and Quang Hoa communes launched their fireworks at 10 PM; Quang Truc commune at 9:30 PM; and Duc An and Dak Mil communes at 9 PM at the commune square and stadium. Despite the different times, the atmosphere was lively and warm everywhere.

Before the fireworks display, in some communes, large LED screens were live-streamed by VTV's New Year's Eve program for officials and residents to watch, creating a greater sense of connection between localities and the nationwide atmosphere.
As the first bursts of fireworks lit up the skies over Dong Kho, Quang Truc, Dak Mil, Dam Rong 4, and other areas, cheers and applause erupted incessantly. Many residents shared that this was the first time in their lives they had seen fireworks right where they lived, without having to travel dozens of kilometers to the provincial center.

Clusters of light in various colors – red, yellow, blue, purple – shine one after another, reflecting on rooftops, fields, and mountain roads, creating a scene that is both majestic and poetic.
Fireworks are not just a light show, but also a symbol of faith, aspirations for development, and the province's concern for its people in all areas.

Along with the joy of welcoming the Lunar New Year, security, traffic safety, and fire prevention measures were strictly implemented. Police, military, and various departments coordinated to protect and guide people participating in the fireworks display safely and in accordance with regulations, ensuring a truly complete and memorable event.

Organizing fireworks displays in these areas is not only a cultural and artistic activity to welcome the new year, but also carries profound political and social significance. This is seen as a practical demonstration of the government's concern at all levels in narrowing the gap in cultural enjoyment between urban and rural areas, creating conditions for people in disadvantaged regions to celebrate Tet in a vibrant and warm atmosphere.

At the same time, this is also a message about harmonious development, ensuring that no one is left behind, a major policy of our Party and State. The moment when entire families and neighbors stand together under the bright sky across the largest area in the country creates a sense of community, instilling confidence and motivation for people to stay rooted in their land and villages, working together to build a more prosperous and thriving homeland.
With 17 fireworks display locations planned for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has instructed that all events will not utilize state budget funds or solicit contributions from the public. Instead, funding will be mobilized through social contributions, with local authorities proactively seeking sponsorship from organizations and businesses on a voluntary basis.
