Attending the launching ceremony were: Mr. Le Ngoc Anh, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society; representatives from the Provincial People's Committee Office, provincial departments and organizations, Sam Son ward, local Red Cross Societies, Red Cross clubs affiliated with the Red Cross Society, and a large number of people.

Overview of the launching ceremony for the 2026 Humanitarian Month.
Since 2021, May has been designated as Humanitarian Month and implemented nationwide. This is a peak month for community action, assisting those in need, and also an opportunity to connect organizations, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists to jointly carry out humanitarian activities for the community.
The Humanitarian Month 2026 was launched on the occasion of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8th, contributing to reviewing the traditions, formation, and development of the Red Cross at all levels.

Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Nguyen Quoc Thanh, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony.
At the ceremony, representatives of the provincial Red Cross Society launched the 2026 Humanitarian Month and read a letter calling on agencies, units, businesses, organizations, and individuals to actively participate in and support humanitarian activities.
The 2026 Humanitarian Month will be implemented from March 1st to May 31st, with the peak period from May 8th to May 19th. During this time, Red Cross branches at all levels in the province will coordinate with local authorities to organize many humanitarian activities; strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness among Party committees, government officials, and the people about humanitarian work and the Red Cross movement. At the same time, they will mobilize resources ranging from 5 to 10 billion VND to assist over 10,000 humanitarian cases.

The Red Cross accepts applications to carry out humanitarian activities.
At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Red Cross Society received support and registrations for activities during the Humanitarian Month from various units, businesses, and charitable clubs, totaling nearly 15 billion VND.

The Provincial Red Cross Society presented certificates of appreciation to organizations, individuals, and businesses for their generous contributions.

The Organizing Committee presented gifts to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society mobilized resources to build the Humanitarian Relief Fund for 2026; organized the handover of financial support for the construction of Red Cross houses for two households in difficult housing situations; presented gifts to 10 students of Sam Son Pre-University School, 30 disadvantaged families and students in Sam Son and Nam Sam Son wards, and presented gifts to 10 members of the marine first aid team.
