Launching the emulation competition '20 days to finish' of Component 2 Project, Long Thanh Airport Project

(DN) - On November 29, according to Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM), the investor of Component 2 Project - works serving air traffic management, Long Thanh International Airport Project, the unit launched the "20-day finish line" competition for Component 2 Project.

The "20-day finish line" competition was launched to specify the requirements to complete Component 2 Project on schedule, ensure readiness for technical flights and complete the items by December 19, 2025 in accordance with the Prime Minister 's direction.

According to Mr. Le Hoang Minh, Chairman of the VATM Board of Members, the Component 2 Project is an important link in the national air traffic control system, therefore, VATM has required units to strictly comply with discipline on progress, quality and safety. At the same time, the emulation movement "20 days to finish" is considered a "final acceleration" to bring the project to the finish line as committed. VATM also requires construction units to immediately apply timely incentive and motivation mechanisms so that workers can work extra shifts with peace of mind, organize production reasonably, increase shifts; at the same time, ensure labor safety and health for officers and workers. Units regularly monitor the scene, promptly remove difficulties, and avoid bottlenecks in the implementation of key items.

Previously, on November 24, VATM had a working session with relevant agencies to review preparations for the first technical flight at Long Thanh Airport on December 19, 2025. Accordingly, VATM requested the Air Traffic Control Board to preside over the synthesis of all opinions, coordinate with the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board and the Southern Air Traffic Management Company to complete the progress list, and submit it to the Steering Committee for consideration to unify the monitoring plan throughout.
