11 drivers tested positive for drugs in the port area

During 15 days of testing alcohol and drug levels for drivers in the port area, Hai Phong traffic police discovered 11 cases positive for drugs.

Implementing the direction of the Traffic Police Department and the City Police Director on strictly handling cases of drivers using drugs, from November 15, 2025, the Traffic Police Department (City Police) deployed a plan to check alcohol and drug concentrations for drivers inside and outside the port of Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zone, as well as on the routes connecting the industrial park and Lach Huyen port.

During the first 15 days of the campaign, the authorities inspected 2,720 vehicles, including 2,150 tractor-trailers, 356 trucks, 199 passenger cars and 15 tankers. Through inspection, the authorities discovered 11 drivers tested positive for drugs (5 tractor-trailer drivers, 5 truck drivers and 1 passenger car driver) and 2 cases of drivers violating alcohol concentration.

In the coming time, the city's traffic police force will continue to implement plans to prevent traffic accidents caused by drivers using alcohol and stimulants.
