Recently, Ha Tinh Mental Health Hospital has conducted screening for mental disorders at medical stations under the management of Hoanh Son Medical Center, Duc Tho Medical Center and Huong Son Medical Center.
The hospital examined and dispensed medicine to 1,315 people with symptoms of mental disorders at 49 medical stations, including 743 patients under community management and treatment and 572 newly diagnosed patients with mental disorders.
In addition, Ha Tinh Mental Health Hospital also established an outpatient medical record for a patient with particularly difficult circumstances and provided consultation for more than 400 cases coming to the hospital to access examination and intensive treatment of mental disorders.
Doctor Vo Thanh Hung - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Mental Health Hospital emphasized: "One of the results achieved in the screening is to raise people's awareness of mental health. Through screening, cases with mental disorders are consulted and promptly given medication by doctors and nurses. At the same time, recommendations are made to local authorities and Party committees to improve the management of people with mental disorders in the community. When a patient is agitated, destructive, or resistant, it is necessary to promptly inform the hospital to control and bring the patient to the hospital for treatment, ensuring safety, security, and order in the area and avoiding unfortunate incidents."
