Authorities have discovered numerous cracks at Nui Ngang mountain, in Son Cam Ha commune ( Da Nang city).

The Command of Defense Zone 3 - Tra My reported that during a field inspection and survey, functional forces discovered numerous cracks at Nui Ngang, in Son Cam Ha commune (Da Nang City).

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Anh, Deputy Commander of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Tra My, said: "Through surveys, we discovered 5 to 7 cracks. Each crack is approximately 70 to 100 meters long, with some sections up to 2 meters wide. The risk of landslides is very high. Given this situation, the unit coordinated with the commune's Military Command and other functional forces to organize the emergency relocation and evacuation of 59 households with 224 people in Hamlet 5 (Son Cam Ha commune), Hamlet 1 and Hamlet 2 (Thanh Binh commune), and Tra Huynh (Phuoc Tra commune) to safe locations."

At the same time, we used drones to scan the surrounding area for any unusual signs and promptly reported them to the City Military Command."

The Command of Defense Zone 3 - Tra My coordinated with local authorities to urgently evacuate 59 households with 224 people from the dangerous area.

Two people rescued from raging floodwaters.

On the same day, the Command of Defense Zone 2 - Thanh My (Da Nang City) announced that on November 16th and 17th, heavy rains caused serious landslides in the western communes of Da Nang City, isolating several communes such as Hung Son, Phuoc Chanh, and La Ee…

Particularly in Phuoc Chanh commune, rising floodwaters have caused localized isolation in many areas, including two people who were working in the fields and were unable to return home due to the rapidly rising water.

Upon receiving the report, the Command of Defense Zone 2 - Thanh My quickly arrived at the scene that same night. Numerous rescue plans were implemented, but the rising floodwaters and strong currents made rescue efforts extremely difficult.

Determined to ensure the safety of the people, early in the morning of November 17th, the Command of Defense Zone 2, in coordination with local Party committees, authorities, and on-site forces, used rope-launching devices, excavators, and motorboats to cross the floodwaters and successfully rescue two people.

Currently, two residents of Phuoc Chanh commune have been taken to the health station for initial examination and treatment, ensuring their health and safety.
