| Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values is one of the contents receiving comments in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress. |
Writer Minh Hang, Prose Association (Provincial Literature and Arts Association), expressed: I am very pleased with the viewpoint of considering culture as strategic soft power, a key factor in enhancing the position and prestige of the nation as stated in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress. Because this is an invisible field but has the ability to spread, conquer and orient people with its attractiveness.
According to writer Minh Hang, right in Thai Nguyen, the “soft power” of culture is vividly demonstrated through spiritual values, traditions, lifestyles and unique cultural symbols, creating a unique attraction for the land of “half fields, half mountains”. One of the typical factors is tea culture, which is not only an economic product but also reflects the industriousness, sophistication, love of nature and respect for human relationships of the people here. The craft villages of Tan Cuong, Trai Cai, La Bang… are the “soft brands” that contribute to portraying the image of Thai Nguyen in the hearts of friends near and far.
In addition, the diverse ethnic culture also creates the unique identity of this land. Then and Sli melodies, Luon singing, Long Tong festival, fairs, traditional costumes and cuisine create a rich and colorful cultural picture. In particular, the Thai Nguyen people with their rustic, open and affectionate appearance have contributed to forming a "soft attraction", a power that spreads from "humanity".
Writer Minh Hang believes that in order to cultivate identity and promote the “soft power” of culture, there needs to be policies to encourage and exploit the strengths of each land and indigenous people. Thereby creating attractiveness, forming a “soft power” that, although not tangible, has lasting power in nation building.
Sharing the same view, musician Quan Thang, Musicians Association (Provincial Literature and Arts Association), expressed his satisfaction when for the first time in the Party's document, the content of "arousing and promoting cultural values and the strength of the Vietnamese people" was identified as one of the strategic breakthroughs in socio-economic development in the period 2021-2030. According to him, the more the economy develops, the more clearly it is necessary to affirm the role of culture as a spiritual foundation, a "soft power" and an important driving force to ensure sustainable development.

| Musician Quan Thang's family always finds joy and peace in music , through compositions that contribute small parts to the musical life of the province and the country. |
However, musician Quan Thang also said that in 40 years of renovation, the construction and development of Vietnamese culture still has certain limitations. The Party has frankly pointed out this reality, especially the lack of investment resources for culture and the uneven allocation. The number of literary and artistic works with high ideological and artistic value is still small; many works follow trivial tastes, while many art units face difficulties in their operations.
Therefore, it is necessary to invest more heavily in culture, so that this field (especially music) has more works of high ideological and artistic value, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of the public. At the same time, it is necessary to promote the role and responsibility of literary and artistic associations and individual artists, creating conditions for the birth of many works with long-lasting vitality, attached to the people.
For artisan Diep Minh Tai in Tam Thai hamlet, Dong Hy commune, the issue he cares most about is how to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural identity in the younger generation. According to him, it is not easy to make today's youth love traditional culture, especially the culture of ethnic minorities. Even at Soong Co clubs, most of the members are older, the youngest is over 50.
Artisan Diep Minh Tai believes that it is necessary to bring literature and art into schools early to form spiritual values for students. With traditional culture and ethnic minority culture, it is possible to organize weekly extracurricular activities for students to access and learn. When they have love and passion, they will proactively learn more from the artisans and previous generations. Thus, even though they grow up in a digital environment, they still maintain the spirit of patriotism and respect for national culture.
Many other opinions from artists and artisans in the province also focused on contributing ideas to complete the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress. All shared the same wish: Culture must develop on par with politics, economics, and society, becoming a spiritual foundation, an endogenous resource, and an important driving force for the country's rapid and sustainable development.
