Promoting the spirit of "Quang Trung Campaign" to complete new construction and house repairs for people before Lunar New Year 2026

DNO - On the afternoon of December 9, the City Police coordinated with the People's Committees of Thuong Duc and Ha Nha communes to organize a ceremony to launch the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rebuild and repair houses for households whose houses collapsed, washed away, or were severely damaged by the recent storm and flood.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung; Major General Nguyen Huu Hop, Director of the City Police; Chief of the City Party Committee Office Phan Van Binh.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the Director of the City Police Department said that the Da Nang Police Department was assigned by the Ministry of Public Security , the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to take the lead in the campaign to build and repair 271 houses in 22 communes and wards.

Of these, 213 severely damaged houses must be completed before December 31, 2025, and 58 completely collapsed houses must be completed before January 31, 2026. This is an urgent task with a large volume and difficult construction conditions, especially in mountainous areas.

The Director of Public Security requested that after the groundbreaking ceremony, the units must immediately start dismantling, leveling the ground, transporting materials, erecting frames, roofing... according to the "3 hard" house model and the city's technical standards.

The City Police Director pledged that the City Police force will work day and night until the last house is completed, with the spirit of not waiting, not delaying, and doing everything with certainty. The construction will be carried out in a rolling manner, determined to be completed before January 31, 2026 so that people can celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 in safe, warm homes.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung deeply sympathized with the losses and damages that the people of the two communes had to endure. At the same time, he commended the timely intervention of agencies, units and armed forces in supporting the people to overcome difficulties.

In particular, today's groundbreaking ceremony carries the spirit of "Quang Trung lightning speed", clearly demonstrating the Party and State's concern for households affected by natural disasters.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that the police force, the army and other organizations will continue to accompany and support people to soon stabilize their housing.

In accordance with the Prime Minister 's direction, implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", house repair projects must be completed before December 31, 2025 and new construction projects must be completed before January 31, 2026.
