Promoting the role of associations in the fight against counterfeit and fake goods

Attending the event were leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City and 59 members who are enterprises and business establishments in the field of liquefied gas in the city.

Representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City presented flowers to congratulate the association.

Binh Duong Liquefied Petroleum Gas Business Association was established in March 2025, with 52 enterprises and establishments. During its operation, the association has coordinated with competent authorities to promote propaganda against counterfeit goods, protect genuine brands, provide information and documents for competent authorities to investigate and handle cases of counterfeit production and trade in the area, contributing to building a transparent and safe liquefied petroleum gas market.

Currently, the association has admitted new members who are enterprises and liquefied gas trading households operating in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the total number of members to 59.

At the congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, requested the association's executive board to continue to unite members, promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual support and share business experiences, contributing to enhancing the image and reputation of the organization in the liquefied gas business community in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition, the association needs to propose policies and solutions to coordinate with state management agencies, especially in the fight against and prevention of counterfeit and fake goods, demonstrating the association's responsible role in protecting the rights of members and consumers.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Liquefied Petroleum Gas Business Association, term 2025-2030, was introduced to the congress.

The congress approved the association's charter and personnel plan. Accordingly, the executive committee consists of 19 members, the standing committee consists of 7 members. Mr. Dinh Van Hieu, Chairman of the Board of Members of Long Thuan Company Limited, was elected to continue to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Liquefied Petroleum Gas Business Association for the 2025-2030 term.
