
Attending the Congress were Comrade Tong Thi Phong, former member of the Politburo and former Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam; leaders of Son La province; representatives of departments, agencies, and organizations; and 350 delegates, representing various social strata, ethnic groups, religions, and classes of people in the province.
During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province closely followed the directives of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, strongly innovating the content and methods of its activities, achieving many outstanding results. Propaganda, mobilization, and the promotion of the strength of national unity were implemented synchronously; many movements spread widely and deeply.

Social welfare programs have achieved significant results, especially the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with 3,353 houses supported, mobilizing over 65 billion VND and hundreds of thousands of man-days of labor.
The movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" attracted significant resources from the people, with over 3.5 million man-days of labor and tens of thousands of square meters of land donated for roads and infrastructure.

The quality of social monitoring and criticism has been improved; many self-governance models have been effectively maintained, contributing to the preservation of grassroots security. People-to-people diplomacy continues to expand, strengthening friendly relations with 9 provinces in northern Laos.
Delivering a guiding speech at the Congress, Comrade Ha Thi Nga highly appreciated the results of the Fatherland Front's work in Son La province, and at the same time requested the Fatherland Front at all levels to continue to strongly innovate, strengthen the understanding of the people's thoughts and aspirations; promote the role of supervision and criticism; and mobilize all strata of the people to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements.

Comrade Ha Thi Nga suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province continue to concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 43 of the 13th Central Committee of the Party on "Promoting the tradition and strength of national unity, building a prosperous and happy country"; steadfastly upholding President Ho Chi Minh's ideology of "Putting the people first," while consistently adhering to General Secretary To Lam's guiding principle of "Putting the people as the center, subject, goal, and driving force of innovation"...

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged the contributions of the Provincial Fatherland Front during the past term; emphasizing that in the new term, the Front needs to continue to play a core role in consolidating the great national unity; strengthening social consensus; strongly directing movements towards the grassroots; innovating methods of operation towards practicality and effectiveness; and focusing on training and fostering the team of Fatherland Front cadres at all levels.

The Congress unanimously agreed on the direction for the 2025-2030 term with many specific goals: 100% of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will coordinate in organizing propaganda and mobilization to implement the Party's policies and guidelines; annually preside over the supervision of 5 or more issues; and maintain 100% of residential areas organizing the National Unity Day.
The Congress also unanimously voted that 100% of Party committees and authorities at all levels would coordinate and create favorable conditions for the Fatherland Front to effectively perform its supervisory and critical role. By the end of the term, 100% of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will have implemented digital transformation in their operations.

The Congress launched the 16th term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province, 2025-2030, consisting of 90 members; and elected a delegation to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term, comprising 12 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
With a spirit of unity, democracy, and innovation, the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Son La province calls on all sectors of the people in the province to continue to uphold traditions and wholeheartedly contribute to building a green, rapid, and sustainable Son La.
