Developing sustainable community tourism in ethnic minority and mountainous areas

That was the topic of the workshop held on the morning of December 2 in Long Xuyen ward, organized by the Vietnam National Tourism Administration in coordination with the An Giang Department of Tourism, with the participation of more than 100 delegates representing tourism businesses and ethnic minorities in the province.

At the workshop, delegates were updated with information on community tourism development in An Giang; introduced the community tourism model, guided some skills and equipped with some basic knowledge on community tourism activities. At the same time, oriented to preserve and exploit traditional architecture in tourism development; building a chain of tourism products from heritage and cultural life in community tourism development in the locality.

At the same time, discuss and share experiences on advantages and difficulties in developing community tourism and receive guidance and introduction to community tourism models associated with improving people's lives and socio-economic development...
