Developing and perfecting the startup ecosystem, innovative startups

Startups participate in displaying and promoting products at an event organized by the city.

Accordingly, the city has formed and developed a financial market and venture capital for start-ups and innovation with 30 signed memorandums of understanding; linked with 66 domestic and foreign investment funds, supported more than 190 innovative start-up projects; successfully implemented 8 investment deals with a total investment value of 39.5 billion VND. In addition, Can Tho also connects 5 regional and local start-up and innovation ecosystem networks, 23 intermediary support organizations, 6 start-up support spaces and co-working spaces. Every year, the city organizes the "Startup Innovation Festival" (Techfest Can Tho) and the "Startup and Innovation Forum in the Mekong Delta" which gathers and promotes more than 500 products and technologies related to start-ups and innovation start-ups.

From now until the end of the year, the city will focus on implementing the construction of the Can Tho City Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the regional and Mekong Delta level at the headquarters of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee (old); upgrading, expanding and improving the operational capacity of the Can Tho City Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (No. 118/3 Tran Phu, Cai Khe Ward). At the same time, issue a plan to promote and develop start-up activities, creative start-ups and innovation in Can Tho City in the period 2025-2030. From there, it will serve as a basis for infrastructure investment; network connection; build support mechanisms and policies; implement activities to support, promote and develop start-up and innovation activities.
