The Thuan Chau area currently has approximately 60 active cooperatives, the majority of which are involved in the production, trading, and processing of agricultural products, with over 1,000 member households. Local authorities have guided cooperatives to participate in building product development chains and safe agricultural supply chains, linked to establishing growing areas according to VietGAP standards. At the same time, they are creating conditions for cooperatives to improve their operational efficiency in accordance with the 2023 Cooperative Law.
Mr. Duong Gia Dinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan commune, said: Immediately after the establishment of Binh Thuan commune, the People's Committee organized a dialogue with cooperatives in the area to implement the new regulations of the 2023 Cooperative Law and listen to the proposals and recommendations of the cooperatives. Based on that, they sought ways to overcome difficulties and create conditions for cooperatives to operate effectively, becoming a bridge between farmers and the market, contributing to promoting the production and consumption of local agricultural products.

Localities will continue to maintain 31 safe agricultural product supply chains with 10 planting area codes covering an area of 182 hectares; maintain 600 hectares of crops applying VietGAP processes, creating favorable conditions for cooperatives to apply new scientific and technical advancements to production.
Mr. Quang Van Hop, from the Aquaculture, Fruit Tree Cultivation and Comprehensive Services Cooperative in Muong Khieng commune, shared: "Our cooperative was established in 2020 with 7 members. Members have learned and applied the techniques they were taught to develop cage fish farming and fruit tree cultivation. To date, the cooperative has 33 members, expanding the fruit tree area to 54 hectares and over 120 fish cages. Annually, we sell 24 tons of commercial fish and 100 tons of mangoes and longan, with a total revenue of over 1.9 billion VND."

For Long He commune, a mountainous area, the collective economic model has contributed to helping the people in the commune to cooperate and utilize the potential and advantages of the locality to develop, promote, and introduce agricultural products to consumers. Currently, there are two cooperatives in the commune raising native black chickens, with a scale of over 2,000 birds. In addition to chicken meat and eggs, the black chicken floss produced by these cooperatives has been promoted and introduced at many fairs inside and outside the province, and has been well received by many consumers.
Mr. Lo Van Phuoc, Director of the E Tong Eco-Tourism and Agriculture Cooperative in Long He commune, informed: "The cooperative was established in August 2025 and currently has 7 members. We raise approximately 800 black chickens and adhere to VietGAP standards. During the rearing process, we regularly consult with agricultural extension officers on proper care, flock expansion, and restocking after each sale. This ensures product quality and helps member households earn a decent income. In the future, we will expand our production linkages with more households in the commune."

In 2025, the average revenue of cooperatives in Thuan Chau district is projected to reach 1.15 billion VND per cooperative. However, during their development, cooperatives still face difficulties such as limited resources, market access, and climate change. To address these challenges, the local authorities in Thuan Chau district continue to implement policies to support cooperatives, including access to preferential credit, land, infrastructure, and product promotion. Simultaneously, they integrate funding from the National Target Program for New Rural Development to support the development of OCOP (One Commune One Product) products.
The cooperative economic model in Thuan Chau area is developing strongly, becoming one of the important driving forces promoting agricultural production towards a commodity-based approach and increasing income for the people.
