
According to the report of the Department of Home Affairs, Phu Tho province currently has more than 2 million people of working age, accounting for 52% of the population; there are over 700,000 workers working in more than 40,000 enterprises in the province. The rate of trained workers in 2025 is estimated to reach 73.3%, of which the rate of workers with degrees and certificates is 34.6%.
The province currently has 5 universities and 49 vocational training institutions. By 2025, the training scale will reach 86,837 people. In the first 10 months of 2025, the province will create jobs for 50,920 people. In the fourth quarter of 2025, businesses will need to recruit more than 30,000 workers to prepare for the 2026 production and business plan.

At the workshop, delegates discussed and proposed strategic directions for developing high-quality human resources in the context of digital transformation and deep integration. The contents discussed in depth include: Promoting digital transformation in building a connection network between Employment Service Centers - Employees - Labor recruiting enterprises; model of connection between schools and enterprises in human resource supply; developing high-tech human resources in enterprises.
Other topics of interest to many delegates are: Human resource needs in the electronics industry in the era of artificial intelligence; limitations and difficulties in coordinating training and retraining of workers between businesses and vocational training institutions; innovation in vocational training in the digital age; human resources in the AI era - challenges and opportunities for businesses; solutions to improve the efficiency of recruitment and training of workers; demand for high-quality workers in the mechanical engineering and automation industry...

Delegates also discussed and exchanged solutions to overcome the imbalance of labor supply and demand, scarcity of highly qualified labor; the role of the employment service center system in localities; planning of vocational education network in line with the socio -economic development strategy of Phu Tho province after the merger; preferential policies and solutions to retain workers.
Speaking at the workshop, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong requested departments, agencies, branches and units to thoroughly grasp the task of building an open, flexible human resource ecosystem, closely connecting the government - schools - businesses - workers; developing high-quality human resources for priority investment attraction fields; promoting digital transformation, applying artificial intelligence, exploiting data in labor management, market forecasting and job coordination, especially through the Phu Tho Job Portal.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province requested enterprises to ensure the maintenance of operations and create sustainable jobs, have preferential policies and regimes, improve the lives of workers; and share experiences in attracting, retaining and employing workers.
Within the framework of the event, the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board signed an agreement on cooperation in training and labor supply with vocational training institutions of Phu Tho province and enterprises; launched the Phu Tho Job Portal at vieclam.phutho.gov.vn.

The 2025 Job Fair program gathered nearly 200 businesses, attracted a large number of students to participate, organized practical activities such as career counseling, direct recruitment interviews, signing memorandums of understanding and contracts on vocational training, recruitment, and labor supply.
