On November 12, according to information from the Oncology Department, Vinh Long General Hospital, this hospital has just successfully performed 2 mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection surgeries for breast cancer patients, thereby mastering specialized techniques in cancer treatment right in the locality.
Previously, two female patients LTN (62 years old) and NTT (68 years old, both from Vinh Long) came to the hospital with a persistent left breast tumor. After examination, testing and biopsy, doctors diagnosed breast cancer and prescribed surgical intervention to remove the breast and dissect the axillary lymph nodes.
