The disputed election sparked protests that led to at least 2,400 arrests and 23 deaths.
In the capital Caracas, thousands of opposition protesters gathered to protest the election results. Protests also took place in many other cities across the country.
Meanwhile, Mr. Maduro promised 8% growth for the country and was determined not to allow outside interference.
Russia and China have congratulated President Maduro on his victory. Meanwhile, the United States, along with other Western countries, has rejected the election results.
