Approval of the master plan for Thi Tuong Dam Eco-tourism Area, scale 1/10,000

The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Master Plan of Dam Thi Tuong Eco-tourism Area, scale 1/10,000, with a master plan area of ​​1,985 hectares, located in 04 communes of Ca Mau province including: Song Doc, Tran Van Thoi, Hung My and Phu My.

The objective of approving the Master Plan for Thi Tuong Lagoon Ecotourism Area (Dam) is to plan the exploitation of tourism products with the characteristics of the Southern river region on the basis of conserving biodiversity and ecosystems, building and regenerating aquatic resources, flora and fauna in the Dam. Combined with improving living conditions for people, creating environmental landscapes, creating tourism space, developing ecotourism in a harmonious and sustainable direction.

The planning also aims to promote the historical value of the Provincial Party Committee Base in Xeo Duoc Hamlet in association with tourism development. Orientation for development of architectural space and landscape of the area such as: Trade - service center, current residents living along the Dam, trade - service works serving eco-tourism...

The project is also the basis for agencies and localities managing the planning area to propagate and educate to raise awareness of the community; perfect the mechanism to strictly handle violations, illegal exploitation and fishing in the Dam area. It is the basis for implementing zoning and detailed planning projects to attract investment in the planning area; it is the legal basis for architectural management and planning management according to regulations.
