Approving the Planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021

(QNO) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed a Decision approving the Planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

According to the plan, by 2030, Quang Nam strives to become a fairly developed province in the country; an important growth pole of the Central Highlands region; with a synchronous infrastructure network in a modern direction; developing aviation, seaports, logistics services, tourism, automotive mechanical industry, mechanical engineering, and electricity at regional level; forming a national center for pharmaceutical industry, deep processing of agricultural and forestry products, and silica; having high-quality vocational training facilities; having a rich cultural identity; most of the medical andeducational facilities meeting national standards; having a synchronous urban system, linked with the countryside.

By 2030, the average GRDP per capita will reach over 7,500 USD, with the digital economy contributing about 30% of GRDP. Quang Nam aims to attract more than 15 million visitors, including 8 million international visitors. Quang Nam also aims to be in the good group of the country in terms of provincial competitiveness index, administrative reform index, satisfaction index of people and organizations with services of state administrative agencies, public administration efficiency index, and digital transformation index.

By 2050, Quang Nam will develop comprehensively, modernly and sustainably, imbued with the cultural characteristics of the Quang people; strive to become a centrally-governed city, making a major contribution to the central budget; and be an important international tourism center on the basis of maximizing the value of world cultural heritages and world biosphere reserves. The economic structure will be harmonious and reasonable with high autonomy and competitiveness. The human development index and people's income will be high, and life will be happy.

The province's key tasks and breakthroughs include: completing the infrastructure system, improving competitiveness, improving the quality of human resources and social welfare, and improving science and technology capacity.

The province's two dynamic clusters are: Dien Ban - Hoi An - Dai Loc and Tam Ky - Nui Thanh - Phu Ninh. The three development corridors include: The coastal economic dynamic corridor from the Da Nang - Quang Ngai highway to the coast; the corridor along the Eastern Truong Son road and the Ho Chi Minh road in the western space; the corridor along National Highway 14B and National Highway 14E connecting to National Highway 14D to the Nam Giang International Border Gate.

The implementation of projects after the Provincial Planning is approved must ensure compliance with land use planning indicators according to Decision No. 326 dated March 9, 2022 of the Prime Minister on the allocation of national land use planning indicators for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050, the 5-year national land use plan 2021 - 2025 and adjustment and supplement decisions (if any) of competent authorities.

For projects with investment phases after 2030, in case there is a need for investment to serve socio-economic development and mobilize resources, report to competent authorities for approval for earlier investment.
