Zero-dong market to support people in flood-affected areas

On the morning of December 7, the Dak Lak Business Association coordinated with the Hung Yen Provincial Red Cross and the Women's Union of O Loan Commune to organize a "Zero-VND Market" to support households that suffered heavy losses due to the recent floods.

At the program, the Organizing Committee arranged 23 booths with dozens of essential items such as household appliances, electrical equipment, medicine, clothes, shoes, rice, blankets and many other necessities.

People coming to the market can choose items suitable for their family's needs, corresponding to 500 gifts prepared for giving. Of which, Yen Doan Company Limited (Hung Yen province) supports 300 gifts, worth 180 million VND, through the connection of the Hung Yen Provincial Red Cross.

The remaining 200 gifts were contributed by benefactors from pagodas and parishes from the provinces and cities of Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa and Da Nang , demonstrating the spirit of mutual love towards people in disaster areas. Each gift is worth 600,000 VND.

Along with that, the Organizing Committee donated blankets and necessities to 3 kindergartens in O Loan commune, worth 12 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Doan The Duong, Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Hung Yen province, said that the organization of the "Zero-VND Market" not only helps people have more conditions to cover their living expenses after the flood, but also spreads the spirit of sharing and connecting organizations and individuals in community support activities.
