A series of Vietnamese films have been released in recent weeks. However, the projects have had poor revenue, and some even had to leave theaters early with heavy losses.

After the boom period, the Vietnamese film market began to decline when a series of works were released but had low revenue. Many projects are struggling to reach the meager revenue of 1 billion VND. Lame Heart - the debut film of director Quoc Cong - after 5 days of release only earned more than 600 million VND. The work marked the return of Quach Ngoc Ngoan after 7 years. In the film, the actor plays Triet - a famous painter but has a patriarchal personality, passionate about fame and neglects his family.
The film is invested in setting, beautiful camera angles, and pleasing colors for the audience. However, in his first time directing, director Quoc Cong still revealed many weaknesses in the script and storytelling. The acting of Quach Ngoc Ngoan and Xuan Van is a bright spot.
Crashing Mother's Birthday is also the first film project of Binh Bong Bot. The work belongs to the black comedy genre and is inspired by the excerpt Happiness of a Funeral (Luc Do, Vu Trong Phung). Binh Bong Bot shows new ideas and a quite interesting story. However, the limitation of Binh Bong Bot is that it is rambling and gets bogged down in many details, making the whole work confusing. The beginning and the end are not attractive. The rare participation of two artists Thanh Hoi and Ai Nhu in a movie created a certain excitement. However, the acting of both sometimes had a theatrical color. The highlight of the project belonged to the performance of actress Hong Anh at the end of the movie. By the evening of November 11, Binh Bong Bot's project had earned 5.4 billion VND. The work will leave theaters in the next few days.
Although it did not receive much attention when it was announced, Thai Chieu Tai received quite positive reviews after the first screenings. The work was commented to be rich in ideas, although it still had some limitations, but it made up for its attractive storytelling. However, the film's revenue was not optimistic. Currently, Tran Nhan Kien's project only earned more than 2.6 billion VND, with an average of 670 screenings per day.
The darkest point of the Vietnamese film market in recent times is Hoang Tho's Blindfolded Deer Catcher. The 16+ film has received negative reactions in terms of both quality and acting recently. The most annoying thing is the offensive and somewhat distorted message. After nearly two weeks, the film has only earned over 660 million VND.
The film "Reformed Grave" with the participation of actors such as Thien An, Rima Thanh Vy, Kieu Trinh... is recording a figure of nearly 19 billion VND. Thang Vu's project had a fairly favorable start but started to lose steam in theaters from the second week of screening. The film has relatively stable quality, ideas, images and many details that surprise the audience. However, with the current speed of making money, the director and producer will have difficulty reaching the milestone of 30 billion VND when leaving theaters.
