After winning the Camera d'Or award at the Cannes Film Festival in France at the end of May, the film Inside the Golden Cocoon by young filmmaker Pham Thien An (34 years old) will be released to domestic audiences on August 11.
The film tells the story of Thien (played by Le Phong Vu), who brings the bodies of his sister-in-law and nephew named Dao back to his hometown to give to his brother. Along the way, Thien's thoughts and reflections on life and the meaning of life emerge. This project was developed from the short film "Be Awake and Be Ready" by Pham Thien An himself. He spent many years searching for funding to make the film. Foreign critics showered "praising" on Pham Thien An's first feature-length work.

Mr. Thi Tran, the main producer and CEO of JKFilm, one of the studios that produced Inside the Golden Cocoon, confided that he planned to release the film right after the work won an award in France. The film is 3 hours long, but he said the producer decided to keep the length of the film in theaters so that the audience could fully experience the film.
A few days ago, international press reported that independent film distributor Kino Lorber had successfully purchased the copyright of Inside the Golden Cocoon to screen in the North American market, but no specific release date has been set. After winning an award at the Cannes Film Festival, the film was screened in Paris for a week, then scheduled to be shown in theaters in France on September 13.
