On the morning of November 29, comrades Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Thi Thu Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Dao My, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged cadres and doctors who are sticking to their duties in complicated flood conditions at Phu Yen General Hospital and the Provincial Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emotionally shared: "While the flood water outside is still causing many difficulties for the people, in the departments, many doctors and nurses are still urgently treating patients and safely delivering babies for pregnant women even in the most difficult moments."

“In times of trouble, the image of doctors and nurses, regardless of danger, taking care of patients day and night is the source of people's trust,” emphasized comrade Cao Thi Hoa An.

The working group also inspected the actual preparation work to respond to storm No. 15 at two hospitals.

Hospital leaders said that up to now, the entire system has basically overcome the effects of floods and medical examination and treatment activities have returned to normal.

Plans to ensure backup power, maintain communications, stockpile medicine, medical supplies, food, clean water, etc. have all been reviewed and activated at the ready level.

Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An highly appreciated the proactiveness of the units and requested the hospital directors to continue to thoroughly implement the "4 on-site" motto, continuously update storm developments, review unsafe locations, and fully prepare means of transporting patients in emergency situations.

He noted: “Storm No. 15 is still evolving in a complicated manner, so hospitals must anticipate the worst-case scenarios and absolutely not be passive or surprised. Every medical facility must be a solid fortress to protect people’s health.”

In addition to professional work, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that hospitals pay attention to ensuring nutrition, health and safety for medical staff, the force that plays a key role in caring for and treating people when natural disasters continue to develop unpredictably.
