On the morning of November 29, the coffee shop area along the railway line on the Tran Phu - Dien Bien Phu axis was bustling again, even though it had been cleared by the authorities a few days ago. Most of the tourists were foreigners, still crowded along both sides of the railway track.
Right at the beginning of the railway, although there is a sign prohibiting gathering in the dangerous area, the flow of people coming and going is almost unaffected.

On the railway section of about 300m from Tran Phu to Phung Hung, coffee shops are opened close together, with tables and chairs placed right on the edge of the rails. The distance between the rails is about 1m, completely failing to meet the 3m requirement of the safety corridor.

Although the authorities had previously asked businesses in the area to dismantle and not receive customers to ensure safety along the railway corridor, this morning the shops have put up tables and chairs again to serve customers.

These seats are located right on the edge of the tracks, less than 1 meter from a moving train.

The train passed by at a very close distance, making many tourists both surprised and excited.

At first, many tourists sitting in the cafe were excited when the train was approaching, but when they realized the distance was too close, they were a bit startled and pressed against the wall.

Many coffee shops packed up their tables and chairs and temporarily closed for a short time, then reopened.

Tourists chat and take photos freely in the middle of the railway tracks. This situation has been going on for many years at the railway coffee street.

Besides coffee shops, beer and soft drink delivery men still walk around with bulky boxes around the train tracks, posing a potential safety risk to tourists and residents.

Around 10am, after the 9:40am train had disappeared from sight, a shop owner calmly placed tables and chairs close to the tracks. While arranging the chairs, he reassured customers that the morning train had left and the next train would arrive in the afternoon, making many customers feel secure enough to sit back, take photos and enjoy their coffee.

The railway coffee street is located along the railway line in the border area between 3 wards: Dien Bien Phu ward, Cua Nam ward and Hoan Kiem ward ( Hanoi city). In recent times, although Hanoi city has taken many strict measures, the situation of businesses on the railway coffee street opening to welcome tourists, gathering in large numbers has affected the railway safety corridor, posing many potential safety risks.
