Aspiration stemming from science and technology and a closed-loop value chain.
As part of his working visit to Khanh Hoa province, on the afternoon of December 29th, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan and his delegation visited and worked at Duy Trang Bird's Nest and Seaweed Company (DT Group) in the Dac Loc Industrial Park, Bac Nha Trang ward. Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Le Huu Tri, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa province.

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy, General Director of DT Group, stated that the company currently operates a 3-hectare bird's nest and seaweed processing plant with a capacity of 12 million products per year, combined with an 80-hectare seaweed farming system. The company provides stable employment for over 250 workers, mostly local residents, with an average monthly income ranging from 7 to 9.5 million VND. Mr. Duy emphasized that science and technology are the key to advancing agriculture and the path for Vietnamese agricultural products to compete on quality rather than just low prices.
To achieve this goal, DT Group has standardized its cultivation process and applied advanced processing technology to create 30 value-added product lines such as seaweed snacks, dried grape seaweed sticks, and bird's nest jelly, instead of just selling raw products as before. Currently, all of the group's product lines have achieved stringent international certifications such as FDA, HACCP, CODEX, and ISO standards for quality management. Furthermore, the company always considers coastal farmers as its core foundation because the business cannot thrive if the people cannot make a living from their work. DT Group has proactively partnered with farmers from providing seedlings and technical guidance to guaranteeing product purchase, forming a closed value chain and minimizing risks for direct producers.

Alongside its business activities, the company actively contributes to the community, with a total value of charitable activities reaching nearly 5 billion VND in 2024 and 2025 through the construction of houses for the needy and support for people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. With these persistent efforts, DT Group has been honored with many prestigious awards such as the Golden Brand of Vietnamese Agriculture, the Golden Star of Vietnam, and especially the Red Star Award for outstanding young entrepreneurs. This is a source of pride and also a responsibility for the company to continue developing high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products with a brand name closely linked to local identity.
Multi-layered economic thinking and the "happy enterprise" orientation.
After listening to the report and touring the factory, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan expressed his admiration for the dedication of DT Group's leaders in not only enriching their homeland but also thoughtfully caring for the lives of their workers and farmers. The Vice Chairman highly appreciated the company's model for pioneering a strong shift from a purely agricultural production mindset to an agricultural economic mindset. In the context of a volatile market, businesses that persistently pursue genuine value and create inspiration like DT Group are highly commendable.

He believes the company's products are on the right track by optimizing convenience for consumers and accessing a multi-tiered economy, because the more convenient and diverse the products are, the greater their market reach.
Elevating the vision for marine products, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that sea grapes are not only a nutritious food but also a solution for absorbing carbon, helping to balance the marine ecosystem. He suggested that businesses should continue to diversify their product ecosystem, not stopping at food but also researching how to transform seaweed into pharmaceuticals or cosmetics to optimize its value in the era of nutrition. At the same time, building emotionally resonant brand stories will help seaweed become a distinctive product of Khanh Hoa province.

To realize this vision, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan suggested that scientists need to closely cooperate with businesses to research and establish well-planned raw material sourcing areas. Besides the economic aspect, he also expressed his hope that DT Group would continue to build a harmonious working environment based on the model of a happy enterprise, where employees find joy in creativity.
Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly encouraged the company to quickly complete the procedures to bring its processed products to the world market, and also requested Khanh Hoa province to pay more attention to planning sustainable seaweed cultivation areas, turning seaweed into a key economic sector of the locality.
