Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan attended the Congress of Trade Union delegates of Tay Son commune.

Also attending the Congress were Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Ha Duy Trung, along with 80 official delegates representing union members and workers in the area.

The report at the Congress stated: In the past term, despite many difficulties, the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers in Tay Son commune continued to develop strongly. Up to now, the whole commune has 3,225 union members participating in 37 grassroots unions.

The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers has been effectively implemented. Many welfare activities such as “Union Shelter”, “Happy Tet”, “Union Meal” have contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of union members.

Along with that, patriotic emulation movements such as: "Good worker, creative worker", "Green-clean-beautiful, occupational safety and hygiene" are maintained regularly. The whole commune has mobilized support for humanitarian and charitable activities with a total amount of over 200 million VND; donated more than 20 units of blood and promptly cared for 100% of union members and workers during holidays and Tet.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Congress set the goal of building a strong and comprehensive commune trade union organization, promoting the representative role, protecting workers' rights, promoting digital transformation in trade union activities, contributing to making Tay Son a fairly developed commune in the province.

Some of the main targets approved include: striving to have 3,500 union members by the end of the term; 100% of non-state enterprises with 20 or more employees establishing a union; at least 85% of enterprises with a union signing a collective labor agreement.

At the same time, 100% of grassroots trade unions conduct financial inspections in accordance with regulations; every year, over 90% of union members and workers are informed and learn about resolutions, policies and laws.

The Congress also identified two breakthroughs: Strengthening the development of union members, establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises; strongly innovating operating methods, taking union members and workers as the center.

To successfully achieve the above goals, the Commune Trade Union has set out specific tasks and solutions such as: Strengthening propaganda and political and legal education for workers; promoting patriotic emulation movements, improving the capacity of Trade Union officials; taking better care of the lives of union members, especially workers in difficult circumstances; effectively implementing the program "Developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions"; promoting the role of female workers, civil servants and laborers in the new period...

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and key positions of the Tay Son Commune Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, comrade Nguyen Kim Phung was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Commune Trade Union for the first term.
