According to a report from the An Giang Provincial Department of Construction, to date, 13 social housing projects in the province have received investment approval, comprising 10,611 units. Of these, 8 projects with 6,831 units have commenced construction; and 5 projects with 2,336 units are scheduled to begin construction in 2026.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc delivered a directive speech.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc directed the Steering Committee on Housing Policy and Real Estate Market, relevant units and localities to implement key tasks according to each project group.
For the eligible project group, immediate implementation is possible, specifically: Allocating the remaining land area of the Phu Cuong Phu Quy Urban Area project; processing construction permit applications to commence construction as planned in January 2026. Simultaneously, appraising and approving the 1/2,000 zoning plan and the 1/500 detailed plan for the Phu Cuong Hoang Gia Urban Area project, to be completed in February 2026.
Regarding the group of projects facing obstacles related to land mechanisms, procedures, and adjustments to investment policies (the Bac Vinh Quang Residential Area project), the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested a review of the dossiers, clarification of each specific obstacle, guidance for investors to follow the correct procedures as prescribed, and a report on the review results and proposed solutions to the Provincial People's Committee before March 31, 2026. For projects implemented under the form of state land acquisition, the local authorities are required to take direct responsibility for compensation, support, resettlement, and land clearance.
Regarding the project group subject to Conclusion No. 129/KL-TTr of the Ministry of Construction's Inspectorate, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province requested the Department of Construction to take the lead, coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to review and clearly define the content and items of social housing, advise on appropriate handling methods, and report to the People's Committee of the province before March 31, 2026.
Regarding housing for armed forces personnel in the army and people's police, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province requested a review and unification of the implementation plan, ensuring compliance with regulations and actual needs; consideration of the allocation and handling of social housing land in accordance with regulations; and a report to the Provincial People's Committee before February 28, 2026…
Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc assigned the Department of Construction to act as the focal point for monitoring the overall progress of social housing projects in the province, and to report the results to the Provincial People's Committee before the 20th of each month.
