On the afternoon of February 10th, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc chaired a working session with 18 communes, including: An Phu, Vinh Hau, Nhon Hoi, Khanh Binh, Phu Huu, Giong Rieng, Thanh Hung, Long Thanh, Hoa Hung, Ngoc Chuc, Hoa Thuan, Thanh Loc, Chau Thanh, Binh An, Tay Yen, An Bien, Dong Thai and U Minh Thuong.

The conference aimed to assess the socio -economic development situation in 2025, the initial results of implementing the resolutions and action programs of the Party Committees of the communes; and at the same time, to check the progress of implementing tasks according to Decision No. 252/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee and to orient the key tasks for 2026.

At the conference, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc and representatives from provincial departments and agencies exchanged views, answered questions, and resolved many difficulties and obstacles faced by localities, focusing on areas such as: compensation and land clearance, budget revenue collection, planning, investment procedures, and implementation of socio-economic development projects...

Deputy Head of the An Giang Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, Nguyen Huu Suong, spoke at the working session.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc directed the departments, agencies, and People's Committees of the communes to focus on implementing comprehensive solutions to complete and surpass the assigned socio-economic development targets, striving to achieve a growth rate of 11% or higher. Localities must adhere to the motto "Proactive, dynamic, daring to think, daring to act, confident, decisive," promoting the role of leaders and strengthening coordination to mobilize resources for task implementation.

Comrade Ngo Cong Thuc requested that localities urgently implement the Party's resolutions for the 2025-2030 term; and develop socio-economic development programs for 2026 that are consistent with reality. The focus should be on surveying the potential and advantages of each locality to transform the structure of crops and livestock, linking it with the application of science and technology, increasing production value and income for the people; and simultaneously developing small-scale industries, traditional craft villages, services, and tourism to create more jobs.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province responded to requests from communes regarding investment in clean water and environmental sanitation.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that communes pay attention to the well-being of the people, accelerate the planning process, strengthen regional linkages, ensure security and order, complete military recruitment, and prepare well for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and to decisively and synchronously implement tasks related to land clearance, disbursement of public investment capital, increasing budget revenue, administrative procedure reform, resource management, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation.

On the eve of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc requested that all units fully prepare to serve the people in celebrating the New Year safely and economically; and to take thoughtful care of policy beneficiaries, poor households, and people with difficult circumstances, with the spirit of leaving no one behind.
