On the afternoon of December 9, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and met with the delegation of the Van Son Border Guard, the Chinese People's Liberation Army, led by Colonel Hoang Dong Cuong, Commander of the Van Son Border Guard, on the occasion of the delegation's annual talks with the Tuyen Quang Provincial Border Guard.

At the reception, after listening to the leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command briefly report on the results of the talks between the two sides, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, the smooth and effective coordination between the border management and protection forces of the two countries in the past time. The contents discussed and agreed upon at the talks have significantly contributed to maintaining political security, social order and safety in the border area; creating favorable conditions to promote socio-economic development, enhancing friendly exchanges between the authorities, functional forces and people of the two sides. At the same time, he emphasized that Tuyen Quang and Van Son district, Yunnan province (China) are two localities with a border of over 270 km, with a long-standing solidarity and close relationship. The people on both sides of the border have a close and friendly relationship in the fields of production, trade, culture and society. Over the past years, with the attention and leadership of the Parties and States of the two countries, the authorities and functional forces of the two localities have maintained and effectively implemented many cooperation mechanisms; regularly organized talks and information exchanges; coordinated bilateral patrols; organized cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities; thereby contributing to deepening the solidarity and traditional friendship between the two Parties, the two States and the peoples of Vietnam and China.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long presented a gift to Colonel Hoang Dong Cuong, Commander of the Border Guard of Van Son area.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long suggested that in the coming time, the border management and protection forces of both sides continue to strengthen coordination, promptly advise local Party committees and authorities on border management; maintain information exchange, coordinate timely handling of arising incidents; ensure stable, peaceful and friendly border lines. Continue to thoroughly grasp and implement the "16-word motto", "Spirit of 4 Goods" and the "6 More" goal that the leaders of the two Parties, the two States and the two Armies have agreed upon, thereby consolidating the foundation of comprehensive, long-term and sustainable cooperation.

On this occasion, comrade Hoang Gia Long sent warm regards and best wishes from the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups of Tuyen Quang province to the leaders of Yunnan province and Van Son district (China); expressed the hope that the traditional friendship between the two localities will be increasingly strengthened, contributing positively to peace, stability and development of the border area.
