This afternoon, October 21, in Dong Ha City, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam had a courtesy meeting with the delegation of Veterans for Peace (VFP), USA, led by Chairman of Veterans for Peace Chapter 160 in Vietnam Chuck Searcy.

At the reception, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans for Peace Chapter 160 Chuck Searcy thanked the leaders of Quang Tri province for supporting VFP in the past time to fulfill its purpose and mission. Thereby, reducing the number of accidents and deaths caused by mine accidents, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Quang Tri province. Mr. Chuck Searcy pledged to continue implementing the programs being implemented in Quang Tri with the aim of further strengthening the friendship between the two sides and contributing to the overall development of Quang Tri province in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam acknowledged the contributions of VFP in promoting reconciliation and normalization of relations between the two countries through practical and specific activities in recent times.
Informing about the success of the Peace Festival that Quang Tri organized in July 2024, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the festival is a destination of friendship and solidarity; demonstrating the spirit of peace of Quang Tri people in particular and the Vietnamese people in general.
2025 will be the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam hopes that in the development process of the two countries, veterans of Vietnam and the United States will continue to clearly demonstrate their pioneering role, promoting the sustainable cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the United States, looking towards the future with good activities.
