On the morning of December 6, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the "Quang Trung Campaign" to build houses for households whose houses had collapsed or completely collapsed due to natural disasters in Lam Dong province.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and leaders of Lam Dong province, representatives of Military Region 7 performed the groundbreaking ceremony for new houses and presented the symbolic plaque "Supporting funding and forces for house construction" to four families in D'Ran commune whose houses had collapsed or completely collapsed due to natural disasters, including: Ms. Dang Thi Be, Mr. Nguyen Van Nghia, Mr. Mai Ngoc Hiep, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy.

Presenting ten gifts to households that suffered heavy losses due to recent floods in D'Ran commune and talking with them, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son inquired about their living conditions, encouraged them to make efforts to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives soon, and restore production to ensure their family economy.

The Deputy Prime Minister also encouraged officers and soldiers of Division 5, Military Region 7 Command to make efforts to support people in repairing and rebuilding new houses and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the projects that Military Region 7 participated in supporting with funding and construction forces are very meaningful, towards the 80th anniversary of the Military Region's Armed Forces' Traditional Day (December 10, 1945 - December 10, 2025).


At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that the recent floods have caused heavy damage in the locality. However, with the drastic participation of the entire political system, Lam Dong has synchronously deployed solutions to prevent and overcome natural disasters with the view of giving the highest priority to people's lives, health and lives, no one lacking shelter, no one suffering from hunger and cold, no students lacking classes. The remedial measures are in the spirit of being proactive, urgent, timely and effective.

According to preliminary statistics, the total damage caused by recent floods in Lam Dong is over 1,500 billion VND. Regarding housing, the figures are constantly changing; statistics are incomplete, currently the number of houses that have collapsed or completely collapsed and need to be rebuilt is about 30; thousands of houses have been flooded and affected. The locality is focusing on urgently building and repairing houses for people who have suffered damage; supporting people to restore production.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi said that the locality strives to have new houses for families whose houses have collapsed or completely collapsed by January 15, 2026, and to complete repairs for families whose houses have been damaged by December 20, 2025.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, 60 officers and soldiers of Division 5, Military Region 7 Command cleaned up the scene, gathered materials and machinery to prepare to build new houses for families whose houses had collapsed or completely collapsed due to natural disasters in D'Ran commune.


Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters in the central provinces, Lam Dong province agreed to support 120 million VND/house completely collapsed, from 20 to 40 million VND/house damaged.
