Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son paid a courtesy visit to President of the Cambodian People's Party and President of the Senate Hun Sen; Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet; and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha co-chaired the 13th Vietnam-Cambodia Conference on Cooperation and Development of Border Provinces.
Metfone is an investment project of Viettel Group in the Kingdom of Cambodia, established in 2006, officially put into operation in 2009 with 90% capital of Viettel.
The company is currently operating in 5 main areas including: Mobile Services, Broadband Internet Services, Digital Financial Services, IT Solution Services and Digital Services.
Up to now, after 20 years of construction and growth, Metfone has become the telecommunications - digital technology company with the largest network infrastructure with 6,000 broadcasting stations, 70,000 km of fiber optic cable, covering 96% of Cambodia's territory, bringing Internet to 100% of provinces and cities, helping the country have 4G coverage among the best in the region.
The company has been honored to be recognized and highly appreciated by the Government and Ministry of National Defense of Cambodia, and awarded the Monisaraphon Medal, the highest medal of the Royal Family of Cambodia.

After nearly 14 years of operation in Cambodia, MB Cambodia always provides good service quality, creating trust for customers; always strictly complying with Cambodian regulations.
In particular, in 2021 and 2022, MB Cambodia and Metfone built two memorial houses for Vietnamese martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Cambodia in Kampong Thom and Battambang provinces with a construction cost of approximately 15,000 USD/memorial house; and donated 8,000 USD to build a place to gather and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Cambodia.

Angkor Milk, invested and built by Vinamilk, is the first milk factory in Cambodia, licensed to operate in Cambodia in October 2013 with a charter capital of more than 21 million USD.
Since its inauguration in May 2016, Angkor Milk Company's dairy products have been present in almost all provinces and cities of the country, accounting for more than 30% of the market share.
Currently, the total area of the Company, including factories and warehouses, has reached 6 hectares, with a cumulative expansion investment capital of nearly 52 million USD. Revenue will reach more than 80 million USD by 2024, creating jobs for more than 600 workers, of which the majority are local workers, with only 9 Vietnamese workers, contributing significantly to the social security activities of the locality here.
According to Mr. Doan Quoc Khanh, General Director of Angkor Milk, the Company plans to build a dairy farm with a scale of 2,000 cows in 2026, which has been approved by the Cambodian Government for investment; at the same time, it is planning to increase production capacity to 90 million liters of various types of milk per year, meeting Cambodia's increasing demand for milk.
Expressing his joy and pride when visiting the enterprises, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister commended and highly appreciated the collective of enterprises that have always been united, proactive, creative, self-reliant, overcoming difficulties, cultivating and building prestigious brands in the host country's market, becoming symbols of investment cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister also appreciated the important contributions of the units to the socio-economic development of Cambodia, practically contributing to tightening the friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Promoting the proud results achieved, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that enterprises will continue to expand their investment and business activities; and promote the application of green and digital technology in production and business activities.
In addition, businesses need to continue promoting the tradition of mutual love and support through charitable activities; focus on training Cambodian human resources in their investment fields; and pay attention to creating jobs for Vietnamese people in Cambodia.
