Increase the number of entertainment screenings to three different time slots each day.

Reporting quickly to the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Trade Promotion Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), Head of the Organizing Committee of the first Spring Fair in 2026, stated that as of February 5th, 2026, the number of visitors and transactions at the Fair reached over 100,000 people over the four days of the Fair. To better serve the segment of customers visiting, trading, and shopping in the evening, the Fair Organizing Committee has decided to extend the Fair's opening hours by one hour (until 10:00 PM daily on weekends from February 6-8, 2026).

Regarding media coverage, newspapers and radio stations have simultaneously published a wealth of positive and diverse information about the Fair, with over 200 news articles covering many outstanding and distinctive aspects of the Fair. Many KOLs and KOCs responded to the Organizing Committee's request and are currently carrying out a series of highly impactful informational activities about products, businesses, and surprising and exciting experiences related to the Fair's cultural space and festivals, helping to attract the attention of businesses, the public, and society to the Fair. Information about the Fair has been widely disseminated on TikTok, Facebook, Zalo, etc., with hundreds of posts. The Fair's Fanpage has reached over 400,000 views.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with VEC's marketing department, distributed media kits for the Fair (including original information, images/ videos , and regularly updated event schedules) to ministries, agencies, businesses, and fair visitors. The Ministry of Industry and Trade also directed the Industry and Trade Newspaper to collaborate with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), KOCs (Key Opinion Leaders), etc., to guide and train booth owners to livestream directly from their booths to promote the Fair on the official fanpage on TikTok and other platforms.

Regarding revenue, the Organizing Committee reported that the average revenue of the local pavilions ranged from approximately 50 million to 500 million VND, with Son La and Lao Cai provinces among the top earners reaching billions of VND. Many businesses in the zones managed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment offered diverse promotional programs and incentives, bringing high-quality products with attractive and varied designs to the Fair. By February 5th, 2026, 75% of the pavilions had seen their revenue increase compared to the first three days of the Fair.

Furthermore, Ms. Pham Thi Hien, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Center Joint Stock Company (VEC), reported that in addition to arranging electric vehicles to transport people from the bus parking area, VEC also assisted people in transporting goods from within the fair grounds to their vehicles, creating the best possible conditions for the public. VEC also expanded the parking area, creating the most convenient conditions for consumers participating in the fair; enhanced security, provided first aid, and gave away Green SM discount codes to consumers…

A representative from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism added that, to increase entertainment options for visitors to the fair, the Ministry has increased the number of cultural performances at three different times each day. Currently, there are 16 performances at the main stages to serve the public.

Many impressive highlights from the Spring Fair.

During his visit and experience at the Spring Fair, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized: "After the opening ceremony of the Spring Fair on February 2nd with the Prime Minister, I returned to the Fair as a citizen to immerse myself in the overall atmosphere of the event. Through my observations, I acknowledge that the Fair has achieved several important goals that we need to continue to maintain."

First, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged that the decoration, design of the space, and display of the booths, from an aesthetic and artistic perspective to cultural elements, basically met the requirements set by the Organizing Committee and the Steering Committee. The fair created a truly welcoming space for people to visit, experience, and enjoy the spirit of spring. Especially during yesterday and today, which is the beginning of spring, people were both preparing for a new spring and enjoying the quintessential values of national culture through the fair's space.

Secondly, in terms of scale, the Spring Fair is distinctly different from the Autumn Fair held in 2025. This is the first Spring Fair ever organized on such a large scale. The fairgrounds are very spacious; the stalls are arranged neatly and scientifically, creating a peaceful atmosphere while allowing people to move around and explore comfortably, in keeping with the spirit of coming to enjoy the spring season.

Thirdly, the Deputy Prime Minister assessed that the fair's service and organization were implemented relatively smoothly, effectively meeting the needs of the people, allowing them to both visit, shop, and prepare for Tet. Based on observations by market management forces, the quality of goods at the fair was good. Vietnamese goods accounted for a very high percentage, possibly over 90%, produced in Vietnam by Vietnamese farmers and businesses, with good quality and increasingly improved designs and packaging.

After directly visiting the booths, including those of mountainous and remote provinces, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the product designs were very beautiful, the quality was assured, and many products met OCOP standards. Thus, people coming to the fair not only shop but also enjoy specialties from various regions, contributing to a warm and prosperous Tet holiday.

Furthermore, the services for the public were meticulously prepared, from organizing traffic and facilitating access to the Exhibition Center to providing post-shopping support and making it easier to transport goods home. The addition of shopping carts within the fairgrounds was very practical. Without this support, purchasing large quantities of goods would have been quite difficult.

"Although the Organizing Committee has done a good job of implementing transportation and delivery services from the point of purchase to people's homes, the mentality of 'going to the market and returning home' is still very characteristic. Personally, I also want to bring the products home immediately to introduce and share with my relatives what I bought today, instead of having to wait for the goods to be delivered later. Therefore, I think this method of organization is very suitable for the consumer's psychology," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Regarding media coverage, the Deputy Prime Minister welcomed and highly appreciated the media efforts in the past few days. Official media channels, including VOV, VTV, Vietnam News Agency, and the Industry and Trade Newspaper, have continuously reported on the Spring Fair. This is very important, helping people learn about a major event; without good communication, many people would not have been informed.

"I also regularly monitor social media platforms. In the evenings, I check online feedback and see that the promotion of handicraft stalls, ceramics, wooden products, etc., is being done quite well," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Preserving and enriching regional cultural and artistic activities.

Besides commending the achievements of the past period, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son also requested that, in the coming time, the Organizing Committee and related units continue to improve and do even better in the preparation work, especially for the weekend when a large number of people are expected to visit the fair.

First, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that media agencies continue to maintain and improve their communication efforts to encourage as many people as possible to participate in the Fair. "It's not necessary to come here to shop a lot, but first and foremost to understand the space, scale, and cultural value of the Fair, so that people can enjoy the spring atmosphere. I am very pleased that the communication efforts have contributed to such a positive effect," the Deputy Prime Minister shared.

Regarding goods and services for the fair, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that provinces, cities, and businesses prepare goods for the coming days, avoiding the situation where goods are only brought for display but not readily available for people to purchase.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Organizing Committee should also consider inviting more influential sports and cultural figures to participate in the Fair. Not only artists, but also football and volleyball athletes from various localities interacting with the people would create a very positive social impact. In addition, he emphasized the need for continued close cooperation with local authorities to maintain and enrich regional cultural and artistic activities.

"In reality, activities showcasing local culture have proven very effective. For example, today's cultural performances by the Mong and Tay ethnic groups from Son La were very impressive. If we expand further, we could invite other localities such as Dien Bien with its gong culture, or provinces in the Central Highlands like Dak Lak and Gia Lai..." – the Deputy Prime Minister noted. He also emphasized that a large number of artists isn't necessary; just a few artisans, or even local people themselves, can participate in the performances. These are traditional cultural values, many of which have been recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity, deeply ingrained in community life.

Furthermore, provinces in the North near the Fair area can also take turns showcasing unique cultural forms such as Then singing, Xoan singing, Quan Ho folk songs of Bac Ninh, Cheo opera, etc. These are all very interesting cultural features with great appeal to the people. Therefore, the Fair is not just about economics and buying and selling goods, but also a cultural space for people to experience, understand, and spread the traditional values of the nation.

Finally, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed that, in preparation for the closing ceremony of the Fair, all units should agree on a coordination plan and promptly inform the Organizing Committee, clearly notifying the public and businesses about the Fair's closing date. Early and complete information is essential to avoid a sense of urgency, especially for localities and businesses located far away. The Fair ends on the 27th day of the 12th lunar month, but if units begin clearing up before then, it will affect the common space and the public's participation. Therefore, it is requested that conditions be created to allow the stalls more time to display their goods and serve the public until the end of the Fair.

To prepare for the closing ceremony of the Fair, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue coordinating and preparing the artistic program for the closing ceremony. In addition to the artistic performances, a video clip summarizing the fair should be produced. A well-prepared closing video clip will leave a lasting impression, serving as a basis for summarizing and drawing lessons learned, thereby leading to better organization of future fairs.

The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the active participation of relevant ministries and agencies, especially the many high-quality agricultural product booths that participated in the fair. He also requested that units continue to promote their products from now until the end of the fair. In the context of increasingly fierce market competition, Vietnamese goods need to continue to improve their competitiveness and expand their market share. Many domestic products have great potential; if done well from production, services, distribution to trade promotion, they can certainly rise even stronger.

"I hope that ministries, departments, localities, and businesses will continue to work together and coordinate closely to ensure the complete success of the first Spring Fair," Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized.
