On the afternoon of November 14, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended and spoke at the National Great Unity Festival in Minh Long quarter, Chau Thanh commune ( An Giang province), on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long emphasized that the National Great Unity Day has become a traditional beauty over the past 20 years, spreading strongly to every residential area in the country. This year's festival is even more meaningful when the entire political system is competing to achieve achievements to welcome Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked An Giang province and Chau Thanh commune to continue improving people's lives, especially in remote and ethnic minority areas, promoting the tradition of national solidarity, building cultural life, building new rural areas, linking economic development with environmental protection and people's livelihoods.
At the same time, it is necessary to support people to participate in digital transformation, not leaving anyone behind, making efforts to remove the "yellow card" for fisheries, listening to and promptly resolving the legitimate aspirations and wishes of the people, and replicating patriotic emulation movements and advanced models.

According to the Minh Long Neighborhood Front Committee, the area has 1,235 households with 5,088 people, including Kinh, Hoa and Khmer ethnic groups. In recent years, the people have united to develop the economy, sustainably reduce poverty, care for education, improve cultural life, and carry out gratitude and mutual love activities well. Thanks to that, the rate of poor and near-poor households has decreased sharply, while the number of well-off and rich households has increased year by year.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long presented gifts to 10 outstanding policy households and the Minh Long Neighborhood Front Committee. Provincial and local leaders also presented many gifts to poor and near-poor households and commended families who have made positive contributions to social security work.
