Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang welcomed and highly appreciated the activities of AWS in particular and Amazon Corporation in general in Vietnam over the past years, making positive and substantial contributions to the goal of digital transformation, strengthening data infrastructure and training high-quality human resources for Vietnam.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam is striving to develop science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation to achieve faster and more sustainable development, strengthen strategic autonomy, and create strong breakthroughs in socio -economic development.
Vietnam advocates for increased international integration, leveraging external resources to serve development goals, building numerous specific preferential mechanisms and policies, actively removing barriers and obstacles, and creating favorable conditions for businesses to invest and operate effectively in Vietnam, including US companies such as AWS.

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet, Ms. Quint Simon assessed that Vietnam has made significant improvements in its investment environment, stating, "The Vietnamese government always encourages businesses like ours to invest and do business in Vietnam, especially in strategically important projects."
Ms. Quint Simon stated that AWS has recently collaborated with many Vietnamese businesses on startups, providing cloud services and digital solutions to Vietnamese partners. According to Ms. Simon, Vietnam's accelerated digital transformation creates opportunities for AWS to expand its cooperation in Vietnam.
Believing that the Vietnamese market has great potential, Ms. Quint Simon expressed her desire to increase investment in Vietnam, bring the best services to Vietnam, contribute to the digital transformation in Vietnam, and thereby promote US-Vietnam relations in the technology sector.

Acknowledging the remarks of AWS leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang congratulated AWS on its many successful collaborations with businesses and organizations in Vietnam. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, digital infrastructure, including large data centers and cloud computing, is essential, and artificial intelligence, along with other foundational technologies, contributes to enhancing national competitiveness and is considered a strategic technology for Vietnam. Vietnam is currently perfecting a transparent and favorable legal environment for investment and business in strategic technology sectors.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Vietnam has favorable conditions in terms of location, infrastructure, and investment environment to promote even deeper cooperation with AWS in areas where AWS has strengths and Vietnam has needs.
