Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra: Carefully prepare for the National Patriotic Emulation Congress

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized the need to carefully and thoroughly prepare the contents, programs, and scenarios for the National Patriotic Emulation Congress, scheduled to take place in December 2025.

On the afternoon of November 14, at the Government headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra chaired a meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies on preparations for the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

The Congress is expected to be held in December 2025 at the National Convention Center, with the participation of leaders and former senior leaders of the Party and State, representatives of central and local ministries, departments and branches, revolutionary veterans, heroes, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and an expected number of about 2,000 official delegates, focusing on the official Congress session.

The Congress Organizing Committee has established 4 sub-committees including: Content sub-committee, Propaganda sub-committee, Logistics sub-committee and Security sub-committee. The Organizing Committee has held 3 meetings, the sub-committees and standing agencies have proactively implemented assigned tasks, ensuring progress and requirements.

The representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that from now until the Congress takes place, some key tasks include: Establishing delegations, building a report on the structure of delegates; completing a documentary film on the results of emulation movements and commendation work in the period of 2021-2025, directions and tasks for 2026-2030; organizing and implementing the Program of exchanging advanced models, honoring "Labor Heroes", "People's Armed Forces Heroes" and emulation fighters nationwide; building a detailed scenario for organizing the Congress and the Congress regulations; continuing to promote propaganda work on the Congress and emulation movements, advanced models.

Notably, at the Congress area, there will be an exhibition introducing the country's socio -economic achievements after 40 years of renovation, along with a photo exhibition on "Uncle Ho with the patriotic emulation movement and emulation congresses".

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra acknowledged the efforts of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee (Ministry of Home Affairs), VTV and relevant units in the preparation work. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this is a major political and social event, contributing to creating an atmosphere of competition and excitement ahead of the 14th National Party Congress.

Regarding the content of the documentary, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested highlighting effective emulation movements with high influence in the past 5 years, such as: The movement "The whole country unites, joins hands, and competes to prevent, fight and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic"; the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses completed 5 years and 4 months earlier than expected; the emulation movement to build power infrastructure works, 500 kV power lines; the movement "Digital Education for All"...

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the need to review and honor typical examples in the work of pandemic prevention and control, strategic infrastructure development, social security, sports, culture, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and promoting the development of science and technology. At the same time, he emphasized that many good models and good practices need to be replicated to create vitality, spread the competitive spirit, towards the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, worthy of the achievements of socio-economic development over the past 5 years, especially the achievements to welcome the 14th National Party Congress.

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra requested that the contents on the form of rewards should be completed soon and submitted to competent authorities for consideration. At the same time, she requested the Congress Organizing Committee and relevant units to continue to proactively and seriously carry out their tasks, ensuring the great success of the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
