On February 10th, a delegation from the Mondulkiri Provincial Armed Forces (Cambodia), led by Major General Hem Bo Na Rel, Commander of the Mondulkiri Provincial Gendarmerie, visited and extended New Year greetings to the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
Extending his best New Year wishes to all officers and soldiers of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard and their families, Major General Hem Bo Na Rel expressed his gratitude for the close and effective cooperation of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard in border management and protection over the past period.
Major General Hem Bo Na Rel highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and timely support of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard in coordinating bilateral patrols, exchanging information, and combating various types of crimes, contributing to building a peaceful , friendly, and sustainably developing border.
Expressing his joy and appreciation for the sincere sentiments of the delegation from the Mondulkiri Provincial Armed Forces, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Dinh, Commander of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command, affirmed that over the years, the cooperative relationship between the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard and the Mondulkiri Provincial Armed Forces has been continuously strengthened and developed, making an important contribution to maintaining political security, social order and safety, and stability in the border region.
The New Year's visit and greetings from the armed forces of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia, is a meaningful diplomatic activity that contributes to deepening the solidarity and friendship between the two sides.
This further strengthens the solid foundation for effective cooperation between the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard and the Mondulkiri Provincial Armed Forces in managing and protecting the border, and building a peaceful, stable, friendly, cooperative, and developing Vietnam-Cambodia border.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command, the province has over 141km of land border with Mondulkiri province (Cambodia) and 192km of sea border. The border area currently comprises 18 communes and wards and 1 special zone, with 37 ethnic groups and over 710,000 people.
