Representing BSR were Comrade Bui Ngoc Duong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Comrade Nguyen Viet Thang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director; and other members of the Board of Directors and the General Management Board.
Over many years of construction and development, Le Khiet Specialized High School has become a cradle for training high-quality students in Quang Ngai province. The school consistently plays a leading role in academic movements, scientific research, and innovation. Currently, the school has many students who have won high awards in national student competitions, science and technology competitions, youth innovation competitions, and academic competitions at the national and international levels. In recent years, along with the demand for fundamental and comprehensive educational reform, Le Khiet Specialized High School has identified STEM and scientific research as a strategic direction, aiming to equip students with critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills – core skills for citizens in the digital age.
Representatives from Quang Ngai province, the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Education and Training, Petrovietnam, and BSR presented scholarships to students of Le Khiet Specialized High School.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Hong, Principal of Le Khiet Specialized High School, although the school always focuses on developing scientific research and youth innovation activities, the lack of facilities and in-depth practical spaces remains a challenge. The sponsorship and operation of the STEM room by Petrovietnam, under the Petrovietnam STEM Innovation program, not only solves the infrastructure problem but also opens up a modern, practical, and sustainable approach to education.
The school strives to become a nationally accredited educational institution with modern and comprehensive teaching equipment, ensuring the mission of identifying, training, and nurturing talent. A pressing need is a STEM lab to serve education. Le Khiet Specialized High School is honored to be one of three schools in Quang Ngai to receive funding from Petrovietnam to build a STEM lab. This represents significant support and encouragement from Quang Ngai province, Petrovietnam, and BSR. This contributes to improving the overall quality of education at the school, shared Mr. Tran Quang Hong.
The Petrovietnam STEM Innovation Room at Le Khiet Specialized High School is equipped with a comprehensive range of modern equipment, including: interactive whiteboards, AI-IoT systems, VEX robotics, 3D printers, CNC cutting machines, and experiment kits on energy and the environment. The classroom space is designed based on international educational standards such as FabLab, NGSS, ISTE, and CSTA, while also aligning with the 2018 General Education Program.
For students at Le Khiet Specialized High School, the STEM room will provide a completely new learning experience. Access to modern equipment and project-based learning methods will help research ideas become more feasible and systematic, while also increasing confidence when participating in science, technology, and innovation competitions at the provincial and international levels.

The delegates chatted and exchanged ideas about the learning experiments conducted by students at Le Khiet Specialized High School.
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Thai – Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province – stated that STEM education is not only an advanced educational model, but also a concrete solution to foster students' scientific research thinking, creativity, life skills, and the ability to apply specialized knowledge to solve practical problems.
“The STEM classroom inaugurated today is a vivid testament to putting the Party's guidelines and resolutions into practice in education and training. This is not only a modern learning space that provides teachers and students at Le Khiet Specialized High School in particular, and the education sector of Quang Ngai province in general, with the opportunity to organize teaching and learning activities, creative experiences, and scientific and technical research, but it also contributes to improving education, discovering and nurturing gifted students to meet the increasingly high training demands of the country. The STEM classroom is a place to ignite a passion for scientific research, nurture a spirit of innovation and creativity, help students gradually master technology, develop independent thinking, life energy, and a desire to contribute,” emphasized the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Le Manh Hung – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam – stated that STEM education is an educational method that uses practice to better understand theory. Learning will take place through hands-on experience and problem-solving, and will also contribute to updating and connecting with advanced education systems, thereby applying them to educational and training activities in Vietnam. Given the practical benefits of STEM education, Petrovietnam has collaborated with the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam Television to implement the STEM Innovation Petrovietnam program.
With the STEM room and the enthusiasm of the teachers and students of Le Khiet Specialized High School, Mr. Le Manh Hung believes and hopes that the gift from Petrovietnam and BSR will contribute a small part to creating conditions for changing the educational environment and supporting the school's educational methods to become better. At the same time, it will help train many talented people for the country, especially based on the young generation with enthusiasm and passion.

Beyond simply providing funding for the STEM room, immediately after handover, the school's teaching staff will also receive training on equipment operation, develop model STEM topics, and organize a STEM club in line with the general direction of the Petrovietnam STEM Innovation program. This is considered an important step to ensure the STEM room is effectively utilized, fulfilling its intended purpose and maximizing the investment value. Not only serving Le Khiet Specialized High School, according to the school's and local education sector's direction, the Petrovietnam STEM Innovation room will be operated in an open model, becoming a space for connecting, sharing, and spreading STEM education activities with schools in Quang Ngai province and nationwide.
The Petrovietnam STEM Innovation Program, initiated by General Secretary To Lam, officially launched on September 21, 2025, with the goal of completing and operating 100 STEM education practice rooms within 100 days across 34 provinces and cities nationwide. In Quang Ngai, the STEM room at Le Khiet Specialized High School is expected to become one of the key centers for practical education, contributing to the formation of a knowledge network and spreading the spirit of innovation in the province's general education system.
