Communication activities at the Ho Chi Minh Museum were formed early and developed through many stages. Since the Museum opened to visitors in 1990, communication work has been mainly carried out through display and exhibition activities at the Museum and mobile exhibitions throughout the country. In May 2014, the Marketing Team under the Department of Education was established with the task of researching and surveying the situation of visitors, thereby orienting and planning communication for the Museum.
Before the outbreak of the fourth industrial revolution, on November 1, 2017, the Communications Department was officially established on the basis of the staff of the Marketing team under the Department of Education, with the mission of being a bridge to bring the image and heritage values of President Ho Chi Minh closer to the public. Therefore, the Museum's Board of Directors pays special attention to training a team of staff with skills in journalism, filming, photography, network administration, communication - cultural heritage marketing... to meet the requirements of the new era.

After 8 years of establishment, up to now, the Media Department has established cooperative relationships with more than 100 reporters, 40 press and media agencies in activities promoting the value of Ho Chi Minh heritage and other activities of the Museum. Carrying out the work of recording, taking photos and archiving films about the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Museum with hundreds of events at displays, exhibitions, conferences, scientific seminars...
In addition, in order to build the image, brand and bring the museum closer to the public, the Communications Department has opened a souvenir shop (Museum Shop), through cultural products associated with the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh such as: 3D model of Ho Chi Minh Museum, Uncle Ho's rubber sandals, gold coins that Uncle Ho gave to Minister Vu Dinh Hoe, photos, statues and badges of Uncle Ho... and many other souvenir products.

In parallel, the Communications Department also builds a brand identity for the Ho Chi Minh Museum using modern and scientific language; develops plans and communication solutions through the Museum's website, social networks (Fanpage, Facebook)...

The Museum's website is available in three languages (Vietnamese, English, Chinese), meeting the information needs of domestic and international visitors on their journey to visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Up to now, there have been over 25 million visits to the website and millions of visits to the Ho Chi Minh Museum's Fanpage.

On November 23, 2022, the Ho Chi Minh Museum Newsletter was officially launched to the public, marking a turning point in the Museum's communication work. The newsletter introduces to the public documents, artifacts, and stories about the life, ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

In addition, the Newsletter also reports on the activities of the Museum System, memorial sites of President Ho Chi Minh and the field of cultural heritage. After three years since the first issue was published, the Communications Department has produced 80 bulletins, with more than 700 articles and 1,200 minutes of broadcasting. The Ho Chi Minh Museum's Newsletter helps the public, especially the younger generation, to understand more deeply about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh through the digital platform.
In the coming time, the Communications Department will continue to promote digital transformation in communications work, develop a modern, highly interactive digital communications ecosystem to serve the public at home and abroad; Enhance the promotion of the image and values of Ho Chi Minh's ideological, moral and lifestyle heritage on multimedia, social and international media platforms; Expand communications cooperation with domestic and international press agencies, museums and cultural organizations to spread Ho Chi Minh's values to the global community; Build a team of professional, creative communications staff with the capacity to apply technology and tell heritage stories in modern forms; Develop the Ho Chi Minh Museum's communications brand to become a center for spreading Ho Chi Minh's cultural values, towards the vision of 2045 - a national cultural symbol of international stature.

It can be seen that, although newly established, with a team of dynamic and constantly learning staff, the Communications Department has affirmed its role as a bridge to bring the image of Ho Chi Minh Museum closer to the public, while also demonstrating the strong transformation of Ho Chi Minh Museum in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
