According to statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam, the top two positions on the box office chart remain unchanged. Specifically, "The Five-Toothed Pig" (directed by Luu Thanh Luan) and "Phi Phong: The Blood Demon of the Sacred Forest " (directed by Do Quoc Trung) continuously alternate between the two top positions.

As of 11 AM on May 4th, "The Five-Toed Pig" has grossed nearly 91.4 billion VND, while "Phi Phong: The Blood Demon of the Sacred Forest" has grossed over 177 billion VND. "The Five-Toed Pig" officially premiered on April 24th, while "Phi Phong" premiered a week earlier, on April 16th.

The dominance of these two films means there will be no "comeback" in the box office race this holiday season.

Anh Hung (directed by Vo Thach Thao) finished in the top 3 with a total revenue of nearly 36 billion VND. Dai Tiec Trang Mau 8 (directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh), despite having a cast of many popular names, had a rather modest revenue of over 29 billion VND. Meanwhile, Trum So (directed by Duc Thinh) currently only has a total revenue of over 13 billion VND. With the current revenue levels, all three films are facing the risk of losses.

According to Box Office Vietnam statistics, with a total revenue of 279.6 billion VND after 10 days of release, the Vietnamese box office during the April 30th and May 1st holiday this year saw a 15% decrease compared to last year.

After the holidays, Vietnamese films promise to remain vibrant with an average of 4-5 films released each month. In particular, two films will be released during the upcoming September 2nd holiday: "Hộ linh tráng sĩ" (directed by Nguyễn Phan Quang Bình) and "Hứ hè sợ thuyết hưu" (directed by Huỳnh Lập).
