Phu Dinh makes a breakthrough from the advanced new rural development program.

Under the decisive leadership of the Party Committee and the government, and with the consensus of the people, Phu Dinh commune has achieved many positive results in socio-economic development in recent years. The fields of agriculture, handicrafts, and trade and services have seen significant progress, the rural landscape is increasingly improving, and the material and spiritual lives of the people are gradually being enhanced.

Phu Dinh commune currently has 24 hamlets with 2,872 households and 11,746 inhabitants. By 2025, the average per capita income is expected to reach 58 million VND. During the year, the commune reduced the number of poor households by 35, leaving 129 poor households and 76 near-poor households, who continue to receive support from the government and relevant organizations to help stabilize their lives.

Agriculture continues to play a leading role in the local economic structure. The commune has 873 hectares of rice paddy land and over 34 hectares of corn cultivation. Tea is identified as a key crop with a total area of ​​509 hectares, of which nearly 459 hectares are for commercial tea production. The transfer of scientific and technological advancements is promoted through training courses, field conferences, and the introduction of new varieties into production, contributing to improved productivity and product quality.

Food security is ensured, with total grain production reaching nearly 4,725 tons. Average tea yield reached nearly 151 quintals/hectare, with fresh tea leaf production reaching 6,910 tons. In addition, the commune has encouraged people to convert low-yield crops to high-value crops. In the last five years, over 80 hectares of cinnamon have been planted, opening up a new direction for development and diversifying agricultural products while protecting the ecological environment.

Livestock farming is developing in a safe and sustainable direction. The total number of livestock and poultry remains stable at 76,282 animals, with an output of 1,160 tons of meat per year. Disease prevention and control measures are implemented comprehensively, including sanitation, disinfection, and full vaccination of livestock. In 2025, the commune administered 1,440 doses of vaccine to livestock and poultry.

The New Rural Development Program has been implemented vigorously and in accordance with local conditions. Over the past five years, people have voluntarily donated thousands of square meters of land for infrastructure development. Before merging with Diem Mac, the commune mobilized over 27 billion VND to implement 21 projects, focusing on transportation, irrigation, and cultural facilities. From 2024, Phu Dinh will achieve advanced new rural development standards, marking a shift from fulfilling criteria to improving quality and sustainability.

Small-scale industries and trade services are gradually developing. Currently, the commune has 3 businesses that have invested in construction, 2 production workshops with a scale of over 1 billion VND/year, along with many carpentry, mechanical, and tea processing facilities. Collective economic activities continue to affirm their role in organizing production and linking product consumption. The entire commune has 4 cooperative groups and 6 cooperatives operating effectively, including tea and community tourism cooperatives.

The commune currently has 4 products that have achieved OCOP 3-star certification, including: Tam Tam Tea, Phu Dinh Hook-Shaped Tea, Quang Luong Smoked Pork, and Diem Phat Bud Tea. Cooperatives and associations create stable jobs and increase income for the people. The value of small-scale handicraft production reaches 3.8 billion VND/year, and the value of trade and services reaches 7,155 billion VND.

The achievements demonstrate that Phu Dinh has chosen the right direction in socio-economic development. Based on this, the locality will continue to focus on improving management effectiveness, encouraging innovation in production methods, and promoting the leading role of the people in building new rural areas. This is an important foundation for the commune's sustainable development, harmonizing economic growth, social progress, and environmental protection in the coming period.
