According to Tran Thi Thuy, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Khanh Binh commune, the Union has been united, responsible, and proactive in implementing many practical activities, creating a strong ripple effect in the community. Notably, the Union has extensively implemented the movement "Women actively studying, working creatively, and building happy families" linked with the campaign "Building families with 5 'haves, 3 'clean's, and 3 'safe's". Through branch and group meetings, members and women have been educated and guided to understand the meaning of each criterion of "5 'haves, 3 'clean's, and 3 'safe's" (5 'haves' include: having a safe home, sustainable livelihood, health, knowledge, and culture; 3 'clean's include: clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley; 3 'safe's include: safety, peace of mind, and social security) and have voluntarily implemented them in their daily lives. The Union also actively focuses on promoting the prevention and control of domestic violence, educating members and women on life skills and good parenting skills. As a result, the spiritual lives of the members have been increasingly improved, and solidarity within the village has become stronger.
The Women's Union of Khanh Binh commune has developed many practical models close to daily life, such as the "Model Family with 5 Essentials and 3 Cleanliness Standards," the "Women's Self-Managed Green, Clean, and Beautiful Road," and the household waste sorting model. These small actions in each household contribute to making the local living environment greener and cleaner, and raise the sense of responsibility of each citizen towards the community.
The Women's Union of Khanh Binh commune focuses on supporting its members in developing their family economies . Through savings groups and revolving capital funds, and by facilitating access to loans, many members and women have gained additional resources to develop livestock farming, trading, and production, gradually stabilizing their lives and rising out of poverty. Maintaining the effectiveness of the "1+1" model, the Union promotes the role of its officials and members in supporting and assisting women in difficult circumstances and vulnerable women through various practical means. In addition, the Union regularly visits and encourages women in particularly difficult situations, providing financial and essential support to help them overcome challenging periods in their lives. The Union also coordinates efforts to build charitable houses for poor households, helping many families have stable housing so they can work with peace of mind and care for their children and grandchildren.
During the Lunar New Year of 2026, the Women's Union of Khanh Binh commune, in coordination with the Long Binh Border Gate Border Guard Station, implemented the "Spring of Love" program, linked with the "Border Guard's Spring Brings Warmth to the People" activity. Through this program, 65 poor and disadvantaged women members received gifts to celebrate the New Year. Women members together wrapped and cooked 400 sticky rice cakes (banh tet) to donate to poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, 28 Party branches, and border control checkpoints. The Union also participated in distributing 1,868 gifts, totaling over 1 billion VND, to poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, and vulnerable households to celebrate the New Year.
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy added that the association provides monthly support to 6 children in the "Godmother" program and assists 5 single-parent families. The "Zero-Cost Vegetable and Fruit Shop" model, although only implemented for a month, has brought many practical benefits, helping people save on living expenses.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh, Head of the Women's Association in Bung Nho hamlet, the activities and models of the Women's Union in the commune have been very practical. The meaningfulness of these activities has attracted more members, including female entrepreneurs. Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Ha, Head of the Women's Association in Vat Lai hamlet, said: "I will continue to promote and encourage members to participate, and expand successful movements and models so that the association's activities become even more practical for women."
The responsible and compassionate actions of the Women's Union of Khanh Binh commune have contributed to improving the lives of its members and women, and have contributed to the overall development of Khanh Binh homeland.
