Phu Quoc reports case of nanny abusing children at preschool.

On the morning of February 11th, according to a private source of the reporter, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone reported on the incident of a caregiver mistreating children at the Happy Home preschool.

According to the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone, after the video appeared on social media, the People's Committee directed the relevant agencies to investigate the incident that occurred on January 13, 2026, at the Happy Home private preschool.

On January 30, 2026, following a report, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police invited the relevant parties to a meeting to determine whether the nanny had used her foot to push the baby aside and her hand to touch the baby's thigh area, with the intention of scaring the baby and stopping it from crying.

Regarding the facility owner, after the incident occurred, they immediately dismissed the nanny. The Special Administrative Region People's Committee has directed the relevant authorities to investigate and ordered the owner to temporarily suspend operations. The Special Administrative Region Police are consolidating the case file to handle the matter according to the law.

Previously, a video clip lasting over two minutes appeared on social media showing a woman in a black shirt repeatedly hitting and pressing her finger against a young boy's head. After the clip was posted, many comments expressed outrage.

Upon receiving the complaint, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone directed relevant agencies to conduct an investigation. The Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone Police invited Ms. NTTT (the nanny who behaved inappropriately towards the boy) and the owner of Happy Home Private Preschool to the police station for clarification.

At the police station, Ms. T. admitted that her actions were wrong. Upon inspection, authorities in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone determined that the Happy Home private preschool had 32 children enrolled, including 22 children aged 18-36 months and 10 children aged 4-5 years. The facility had 7 staff members, including teachers, caregivers, and support staff. Furthermore, the owner of the facility had not submitted all the necessary documents for establishing the preschool group as required by regulations.
