Phu Quoc is on track to become a global arts and events destination with the emergence of the APEC 2027 Multi-functional Complex. The project, with a total investment of nearly VND22,000 billion, developed by Sun Group , is being built at a rapid pace and is expected to reshape the face of tourism on the island.
A record-breaking convention center
The centerpiece of the complex is the Convention and Exhibition Center, designed to set new standards for the international events industry. With a total floor area of over 157,000 m², the project boasts 11,050 m² of ballroom and exhibition space with a column-free span of 81 m, officially surpassing the largest ballroom in Las Vegas.

The space is capable of hosting events of up to 10,000 people and parties for 5,000 guests. Next to it is a modern press center with a capacity of 4,000 people, ready to serve world- class media events.
Dragon Scale Theatre and international shows
Adjacent to the convention center is the Multi-Purpose Performance Hall, a unique architectural structure with a capacity of 4,094 seats. The outer shell is inspired by the Dragon scale motif, while the 50 pillars supporting the roof evoke the image of 50 children following their father to the sea in the legend of "The Dragon's Descendants and the Fairy's Grandchildren".

Designed by leading names such as SOM (USA), the theater is equipped with modern sound, lighting and stage mechanics systems. This place is expected to be the stage for concerts of the world's top stars and international film festivals in the future.

Experience the ultimate culinary experience with Cirque du Soleil
One of the most special highlights of the complex is the dinner show area with a capacity of 2,000 seats. This is where visitors can enjoy delicious cuisine while immersing themselves in top-notch artistic performances staged by Cirque du Soleil - the world's leading entertainment brand from Canada.

The combination of world-class cuisine and performing arts promises to bring a unique entertainment experience, attracting tourists from all over the world to Phu Quoc.
Vision and progress beyond expectations
The APEC 2027 Multi-Functional Complex Project has a total investment of more than VND21,860 billion. Despite the technical complexity, the project has completed 34% of the total volume and is expected to be completed in January 2027, finishing 10 months before the APEC 2027 event. When put into operation, the complex will be conveniently connected to Phu Quoc International Airport and other areas on the island via DT 975. In the future, an urban train line is expected to connect directly from the airport to the convention center, bringing Phu Quoc on par with the world's leading MICE destinations.
