On November 29, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province said that the work of educational quality assessment (QA) at high schools in Phu Tho province has recently increasingly affirmed its role as an important tool to help schools self-assess and evaluate the level of meeting standards.
Educational institutions in the province have implemented self-assessment and external assessment and have been gradually recognized as meeting standards according to regulations; thereby improving teaching and learning activities and perfecting management mechanisms.
In response to the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program, the accreditation work needs to be raised to a deeper and more substantial level. In order to create strong and sustainable changes, the Education and Training Department of Phu Tho province has synchronously deployed many key solutions.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province requires schools to strengthen propaganda to unify awareness among staff that educational quality assurance is a continuous, objective and scientific process.
As a result, many units have developed annual quality assurance plans, established internal audit teams, and begun to form working habits based on evidence and real data.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Truong - Deputy Head of Quality Management Department (Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province) said: The Department is stepping up regular and surprise inspections to ensure the honesty of self-assessment reports, while guiding and supporting units with limitations. The inspection content focuses on the process, accuracy of evidence and progress of quality improvement.
Digital transformation is considered one of the new directions contributing to improving the effectiveness of inspection. Many high schools have built electronic evidence storage systems, integrated into management software, helping to analyze data faster.
Along with that, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province is researching a shared database for the whole province to synchronize information, support management and evaluation.
To sustain the accreditation activities, the education sector has identified the need to invest in essential resources such as training funds, technological equipment, reward and incentive mechanisms for staff. Schools also strengthen coordination with the government, parents and social organizations to mobilize resources and improve objectivity in assessment.
The synchronous implementation of groups of solutions is creating positive changes, contributing to improving the quality of general education in Phu Tho province in a substantial and sustainable direction.
