In her opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho, Pham Thi Minh Loi, emphasized that in recent years, the province has focused on developing Xoan singing as a typical tourism product of the Ancestral Land.
Performance spaces, exhibition systems and relic sites associated with the four original Xoan wards are invested in and exploited to serve tourists while ensuring the preservation of the original values of the heritage.
The practice, teaching and activities of Xoan clubs are maintained regularly, creating a foundation for sustainable conservation.
At the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage Nguyen Viet Cuong highly appreciated the efforts of Phu Tho province in preserving, transmitting and spreading the values of Xoan singing heritage. He affirmed that the active participation of artisans and the host community is the core factor helping Xoan singing continue to be practiced regularly, closely associated with local cultural life.
To move towards the next stage, the leaders of the Department of Cultural Heritage suggested that the province focus on a number of tasks: continue to promote propaganda and education on the value of Xoan singing associated with the "Hung King worship"; promote teaching activities in original Xoan wards and schools; perfect the remuneration mechanism for artisans; create conditions to maintain the activities of Xoan clubs; allocate budget resources and socialize; develop tourism products associated with Xoan singing in a sustainable direction; and increase the digitization of heritage documents and data using modern technology.
At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 individuals and Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 6 individuals who have made positive contributions to the work of preserving and promoting the value of Xoan singing.

Xoan singing is listed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
In 2011, Xoan singing was listed by UNESCO on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. Thanks to the persistent efforts of Phu Tho province and the practicing community, in 2017, UNESCO officially removed Xoan singing from this list and listed it as a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This is a milestone affirming the effectiveness of conservation work, while creating a foundation for Xoan singing to continue to be strongly promoted in contemporary life.
From a traditional folk song form associated with the village communal house roof, Xoan singing today has become a unique cultural space, has widespread influence and is an important highlight of Phu Tho tourism.
With the support of the government, cultural sector, artisans and the community, this heritage continues to affirm its enduring vitality, contributing to promoting the image of the Ancestral Land and Vietnamese cultural identity to domestic and international friends.
