The draft Project on cultural and human development in Phu Tho for the period 2025 - 2035 clearly defines the viewpoint that cultural development must be placed on par with economic, political and social development; it is the "foundation - goal - driving force" of sustainable development.
The province aims to build Phu Tho into a cultural center of the whole country about the origin of the Vietnamese people , a place to preserve and spread values such as Hung King worship , Xoan singing , and many cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO.
The project also focuses on improving people's spiritual life, strengthening national solidarity and developing Phu Tho people to be compassionate, creative and responsible - in line with the requirements of the digital age and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga emphasized: "Cultural development must be considered a breakthrough in the development strategy for the 2025-2030 period, a soft power to help Phu Tho break through in the new context."

According to the draft, the province will focus on 9 key task groups and 6 main solutions, with priorities given to: Increasing the rate of public investment in culture, in a focused and key direction; Promoting socialization, attracting private and international resources for artistic creation; Applying digital technology in preserving, managing, digitizing and promoting cultural heritage; Building a shared digital cultural data platform, connecting with the national database
By July 2025, Phu Tho has 2,778 relics , of which 979 are ranked , along with nearly 2,000 intangible cultural heritages . In the period 2021 - 2025, the province has spent more than 1,100 billion VND to restore 250 relics and preserve more than 40 heritages.
Along with that, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been widely deployed, associated with the construction of new rural areas, civilized urban areas and digital transformation of the community, contributing to improving the quality of life and building a healthy cultural environment.
After the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho - Vinh Phuc - Hoa Binh, the locality has the opportunity to form a multi-center development model, both preserving tradition and moving towards modernity.
The Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term clearly defined the goal: "Pioneering innovation, creativity, and digital transformation; creating breakthroughs for rapid and sustainable development; promoting the cultural traditions of the homeland; arousing aspirations to rise up in the new era."
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Duong Hoang Huong said that the industry is strongly innovating its management thinking, linking cultural - sports - tourism activities with the development of the digital economy, night-time economy, services and cultural industry.
In the coming period, Phu Tho will focus on: Applying digital technology in preserving, performing, and displaying heritage; Digitizing rituals, festivals, designing digital museums and VR/AR tour systems at Hung Temple and relic sites; Preparing dossiers to submit to UNESCO for recognition of Tay Thien Mother Worship and Mo Muong Beliefs; Developing cultural industries associated with tourism; building key projects such as Hung Vuong Tower , national and international event organization centers; Expanding cultural - spiritual - ecological tourism at Xuan Son National Park, creating smart tourism experiences; Promoting communication, ensuring information security, handling fake news, building a healthy digital cultural environment. The province aims to make cultural industries a key economic sector , directly contributing to double-digit GRDP growth in the coming period.
With a long-term vision, Phu Tho identifies cultural and human development as the foundation and endogenous strength of sustainable development.
The original cultural values, traditions of solidarity, and creative spirit of the people of the homeland are being strongly aroused, becoming the driving force for socio-economic development and digital transformation.
Phu Tho is gradually affirming its position as "Cultural center of the whole country about the origin of the Vietnamese people" , spreading Vietnam's soft power in the new era.
