With its abundant tourism resources, Phu Tho province recognizes this not only as a trend but also as a strategic solution to build the image of a modern and attractive destination.

Smart tourism opens new avenues for development in the ancestral land.

In recent years, the telecommunications infrastructure in the province has been invested in relatively comprehensively, with widespread internet coverage. Many businesses and organizations operating in the tourism sector have proactively applied technology to management, operation, and product promotion, from management software and electronic payment systems to communication on digital platforms. This has gradually formed a flexible digital tourism service ecosystem, meeting the increasingly high demands of tourists.

At the Hung Temple historical site, the application of digital technology has been implemented through information stations located in convenient locations such as the festival center gate, the main gate, and the five-way intersection near the well temple. These stations use touch screens to provide general information, sightseeing maps, itineraries, cultural events, and promotional videos about the destination.

Practical experience shows that this system offers significant convenience for tourists. Mr. Tran Minh Duc ( Hanoi ) shared: “The search system is very convenient; with just a few simple steps, you can get all the information about the historical sites and tour itineraries. This makes the trip more proactive, especially for those visiting Hung Temple for the first time like me.”

Beyond simply providing information, the smart tourism model aims for comprehensive management, including regulating visitor numbers, ensuring security and order, monitoring the environment, and improving service quality. The software system at the kiosk stations is designed to be user-friendly, supports multiple languages, and is centrally managed via a server.

According to Mr. Thieu Nhat Tan, Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, the implementation of digital applications aims to improve the provision of information and experiences for tourists, while also contributing to promoting the value of cultural heritage. This is also a key task in the digital transformation process and improving management efficiency at the site.

It is evident that developing smart tourism in Phu Tho is a combination of modern technology and traditional cultural values. This approach not only provides convenience and safety for tourists but also contributes to highlighting the depth of the heritage of this ancestral land, creating a foundation for sustainable local tourism development in the future.
