Phu Tho urgently deploys measures to respond to storm No. 10

On September 28, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong issued Official Dispatch No. 5/CD-UBND on focusing on responding to storm No. 10 and floods, landslides, flash floods, and landslides to ensure people's safety and minimize property damage.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of September 27, the sea area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai will have strong winds of level 8-9, near the storm center level 10-13, gusts of level 14-16, waves 5-7m high. Storm No. 10 can cause heavy rain in the North and North Central regions, with common rainfall of 200-400mm, in some places over 600mm, with a high risk of flash floods, landslides, inundation and traffic disruption.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units to proactively review and immediately deploy solutions to ensure safety for people and vehicles; reinforce dikes, dams, pumping stations; tie down houses, warehouses, and production facilities. Localities must urgently evacuate residents in dangerous areas to safe places, arrange guards, stockpile food and necessities, and be ready to rescue in case of bad situations.

The telegram also assigned specific tasks to the following forces: Military , Police, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Finance, Industrial Park Management Board, Irrigation Enterprises, Provincial Hydrometeorological Station and Phu Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television in coordinating storm response. Members of the Provincial Civil Defense Command must directly go to the grassroots to inspect, urge and promptly handle any arising situations.

The Provincial People's Committee emphasized that all levels and sectors must absolutely not be subjective, must be on duty seriously, regularly update weather developments, and promptly report to minimize damage to people and property caused by storm No. 10.
