2025 can be considered one of the most crucial years in Phung Khanh Linh's career. Instead of the flashy approach of the mainstream market, the singer-songwriter has chosen a more sustainable path, investing heavily in her third studio album, "Between Ten Thousand People ," experimenting with music through a nationwide live band tour, and concluding with compelling live performances on major stages.
If the album " Between Ten Thousand People" was a self-narrative recorded in the studio, then Phùng Khánh Linh's mini-set at GENfest on January 17th was the moment that inner world " materialized" on an outdoor stage in front of thousands of spectators.
Opening the show, Phùng Khánh Linh made a strong impression with her image as a white-haired woman – a metaphor for an unreal, enchanting, and mysterious girl. Behind that captivating beauty lay sadness, yet the character bravely accepted and overcame it, blossoming with her own unique pride. The theme song, " Between Ten Thousand People, I Hurt," was elaborately staged, combining lighting, choreography, and a mature performance style, showcasing the artist's confidence in telling her own story.

The performance guided the audience through a range of emotions: introspective and vulnerable with " Confiding in the Night Alone" and "You're a Bad Guy ," where she embraced her guitar and whispered moments of weakness; explosive and liberating with " Crying Black," featuring alternative rock and pop-punk; and finally, climaxing with " I Wish Your Heart Would Be Broken ," concluding a chapter of ambiguous yet intense emotions.
Interestingly, she transitioned to a playful "CITOPIA Girl" image in " Drunk Girl," "Birds of a feather flock together ," before concluding with the hit " Today I'm Sad "—a song that has been associated with her name for 8 years. The change in the final line to "today I'm not sad" serves as a lighthearted farewell, and also represents her current musical philosophy: accepting sadness to move forward.

The show also featured a surprise "blind date" with the appearance of Dong Nhi. The two artists thrilled the audience when they harmonized in " Tet is Okay" and "Tet is Coming Home ." Dong Nhi thanked her junior colleague, while Phung Khanh Linh shared that she had idolized Dong Nhi since childhood. After they left the stage, many audience members continued chanting their names.
Making her debut at GENfest in Hanoi , Phung Khanh Linh demonstrated her ability to captivate the audience in every aspect: performing a series of self-composed songs, telling a musical story that moved from sadness to joy; and showcasing her versatility by singing, dancing, ballet, and playing musical instruments. Despite experiencing a signal loss issue with her in-ear monitors, she confidently maintained her performance in front of tens of thousands of spectators.

When Jsol sang "Coil of Yarn ," his fandom joined in, creating a sea of vibrant pink lightsticks. LowG, meanwhile, delivered a hip-hop-infused performance with his signature rap songs: "Calm," "Love Game," "Simp Girl 808," "In Love, " and more .
RHYDER demonstrated his "unlimited" potential by both singing live well and delivering captivating performances with hits like: " Net Luan," "Khong Quan De," "Kiet Tac," "Tet Den," etc.
