Phuoc Loc requests ships to stop leaving port to cope with storm No. 15 Koto

On the morning of November 28, the People's Committee of Phuoc Loc Ward temporarily suspended all activities at the estuary and requested that boats not leave port, implementing a sea ban to respond to storm No. 15 Koto under the direction of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province.

Implementing the direction of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 8108/UBND-NNMT dated November 27, 2025, Phuoc Loc Ward People's Committee requested people, fishermen and vehicle owners in the area to seriously implement measures to prevent and avoid storm No. 15.

From 7 a.m. on November 28, all activities at Phuoc Loc estuary were temporarily suspended to ensure the safety of fishermen due to forecasts of strong winds and big waves in the South Central Coast.

According to the meteorological agency, typhoon Koto is moving rapidly, forecast to cause strong winds, large waves and dangerous weather in the South Central Coast. Due to the complicated developments, the authorities have requested all ships to stop leaving port and urgently move to safe shelter areas.

Phuoc Loc Border Guard Station coordinated with the police and local authorities to strengthen inspections and guide fishermen to properly anchor their boats; at the same time, propagate to raise vigilance, proactively monitor weather forecasts and take measures to ensure safety of life and property.
